Even if the headliners at The Casa aren't great, there's still an entire island with awesome music being played. I was at The Casa twice last year. The lineup for that isn't what made me come last year.
I knew this girl made of memories and phrases, who lived her whole life in both chapters and stages.
Danced 'til the dawn, wished all her worries away.

She's a long way from a West Nashville grand ballroom gown.

Ditto, a very big reason why I'm staying home. I feel certain I'll find something else thats fun to spend the money on. I like staying at the Casa or one of the hotels on that end of town but why do it when the one or two things I'd want to see are in town - and I don't want to see them enough to spend the money for airfare etc. I WILL miss seeing everyone though.

Maybe Jimmy is touring then!!!!....i feel bad for the charities.....i'm guessing a lot of people wouldn't register , but still go. Last year a lot of people registered because Jimmy was playing with the possibility he was playing the Casa. But knowing that The CRB was already headlining.

I still expect to go because I want to see my friends. And I'll probably register because of the charities. But I can't see spending a whole lot of time at the Casa. But still, it's all good.

Thats the same with Home Made Wine....i find them more southern rock or country!!!
i agree on the Charities though...even if i don't go , i may register to support. I also wanted to tie it in with a Dolphins game this year. But, like last year they aren't home either sunday before of after MOTM. So i may go later in the year to KW and catch a game.

I would have to agree on REK, even though I'm looking forward to seeing him perform.
As for Homemade Wine, they aren't a Trop Rock Band but are a Southern Rock / Country band that has a few tropical themed songs that are considered Trop Rock....much the same as Chesney, Billy Currington or Zac Brown Band. If you want to see what I mean, check out HMW's "Seeking Harbor", "Take me Back to the Tropics", "Stuck in Key West Again" or " A New Life"

Oh, I think everybody knows you better than that, Charlotte. :D
WHOEVER omitted the Coral Reefers apparently has a lot of empty space between their ears. (Unless, as Tommy suggested, they may be touring at that time-it's happened before).

But there IS some good entertainment going on down there. Our band from here (Cedar Island Band) will be playing at Captain Tony's on Thursday, Friday, & Saturday nights during M.O.T.M.
And, of course, Robert Earl Keen. I'm assuming Amy Lee will once again be appearing with Hugo Duarte or on her own, or both.
It'll be a good time, but it would be nice to see Mac, Doyle, Nadirah, and the others.

I'm all set with the exception of plane reservations. MY GOD, they're priced high.

Amy Lee will be playing with her band Jenkins/Lee at Cowboy Bill's Wed-Sat that week
A lot of classic rock and soul, with Woody Jenkins on lead guitar

that's all we know for sure at this point

After calling the El Patio Motel and making a resevation from Wednesday 10 31 to Tuesday 11 6 I registered the SwissMiss and me for MOTM.
Then I checked the daily schedules.
Thursday looks like a Casa day to me, Thom Shepherd, Howard Livingston and ofc HMW, plus maybe some Frinzi. Or another late night at Hogs Breath? [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif] [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif]
Friday looks like we could paint the town?! [smilie=battingeyes.gif]

Now off to make some more reservations...

Looks like I'm going. I just have to figure out how I'm going to fund the trip. Maybe I can buy a one way ticket and panhandle on Duval for ticket money back home.

Unless you know something the rest of us don't I don't see any T/B/D's in that schedule and I doubt they'd move a headliner. The only thing I can see changing is the JD Spradlin DJ type party. But the "country" turn they took with REK puzzled me as well. I'm sure he's talented but I've looked at some of his videos and he just not my thing.
