Haven't heard of it, but have been supporting it all along. It pains me to have to buy from big box stores, but sometimes it is the only affordable alternative. HOWEVER, still insist on buying American. Lucky that I live in a small town masquerading as a big city and have LOTS of home-owned merchandisers in the area.

Re: Plaid Friday
GOOD NEWS: Local man decides to create his own bicycle company.
University senior creates bicycle brand
BAD NEWS: Due to cost factors, bikes are being built to his specs in China and shipped to USA.
It's getting harder and harder to buy local. Even when I was working for the CD/DVD company, the discs and the paper for the cases were coming in from Canada or Mexico; the end product was merely assembled here in the USA.

I know, it's really difficult. Even name brand toothpaste is often not made in America. Sometimes I think I spend more time reading in the grocery and drug store than I do at home!!! And, at times, it is just simply NOT possible to buy American, no matter how hard you may try...and I refuse to get all "vegan" about it.
