Jimmy's turning 65

Jimmy turns 65 this month (as I have just done). We made a big fuss about his 60th, with the book of birthday wishes, which seemed to end in a fizzle. Anyone want to try again, or shall we just do the usual Christmas-Day birthday thread?

In honor of Jimmy's upcoming 65th birthday, I am re-reading "A Pirate Looks at Fifty".
(OK, I was just re-reading it for no other reason than I found it again while I was sorting through a box of books)
And there are several references as to the year of his birth being 1946.

I'm still disappointed that he never responded to getting the birthday book for his 60th that so many people contributed to. Wonder if he even looked at it.
So I agree that a wish for his 65th on Buffettnews will suffice.

I heard he got that 60th birthday book from us and looked through it. I hope he keeps it for the Jimmy Buffett museum that will be opened someday.

Well, maybe on the 5th anniversary of getting it, he'll send us a thank you note.

I wrote a letter to Jimmy a while back asking if, on the occasion of his 65th birthday (and the 60th birthday of another shlub we all know and love-or not), if he'd consider doing a concert on Christmas Island for the occasion of the births of these two of the three wise men.
Still waiting to hear back from him.
I'll keep you posted.

Running out of time for that - or wait, maybe that is where Jimmy is spending his 65th birthday!! You never know where Jimmy is, but I hope you have a great birthday wherever you spend it!!
This also brings up a nagging question that i have that probably is better suited to a whole new thread of its own - where - exactly, does Jimmy call home anymore? We can assume for the summer months it is Long Island, but i am really curious what Jimmy calls home these days! How about you? What do you think?

Jimmy's "main" residence is in West Palm Beach, FL, and has a Summer home in Sag Harbour on Long Island, also has a condo in downtown Manhattan and a home on Harbour Island in the Bahamas.
Anywhere else is anybody's guess.

Don't forget the beautiful island of St Barth. My particular harbour that I wish was within my budget reach every year!!
Oh ya, Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas.
