What a great Christmas idea.

I fervently hope that this isn't just a "viral" ploy by KMart. I really do hope that it is truely people giving from the heart.

Sometimes you need something to remind you about the Christmas spirit.

That's pretty cool....I remember being that layaway Mom when I was a baby cop and we were raising three kids.

:) I am pretty sure I understood your sentiment... :)

I think that is amazing, and I am proud that it is rumored to have started in Michigan. The only thing better is if the rumor said it started in either Flint or Detroit; two cities known nation wide as murder capitals.
well, ummmmmmm, yah, I guess I better come up with something witty to put in this spot since everyone is reading it.......

"It violates our privacy policy". I think the manager needs to be "vigorously educated" on what things are covered by privacy, and perhaps the pain resulting from the "lesson" will allow him to develop some common sense. One would think, "I am here to make a donation" would be pretty simple to understand.

both local store managers were having issues and claiming "privacy", it was brass covering the stupidity with spin that made the matching contribution
