I'm heading down to Walt Disney World this Saturday and I'll be making some trips to Margaritaville to have ice cold Lone Palm Ales uder the Hemisphere Dancer. I'll be sure to head over to JD and see what happened to Miles Hampton.

If I remember correctly, he was the recorded narrator for part of Peter Mayer's "Stars and Promises" Tour. If anyone communicates with Peter, maybe he can provide some info.

Steve Huntington did the "Joan & Oscar" narration for Stars & Promises - at least in Ellicottville, NY.

Still no reply from my email to JD Spradlin last week about the whereabouts of Miles........ [smilie=grrrrrr.gif]

I guess that means that the "official" response from Radio Margaritaville is "No Comment"....... [smilie=huh-ani.gif]

Hopefully someone from BN can corner JD privately and ask when they visit the Orlando M-ville in person. I just find the whole thing a bit bizarre..... [smilie=thumbdown.gif]

Not surprised. If a person is let go for whatever reason, usually the company stance is no comment if anyone from the outside asks about it. Not saying that this is what happened, but it does make sense.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Think of it this way, would you want other people to know why you were let go of your job? Well, other than winning the $300 million Megamillion or Poweball jackpots?

From a South Carolina radio board:
Oops. Sacrilege!!! I left out one of the best pure flamethrowing jocks in history..."Shotgun" Jeff Stone, who became Cat Summers, who became "Easy" Randy Street, who became the original "Cadillac" Jack and who became "Human" Numan.

LOVE that guy!! After KZQ, "Gun" worked everywhere from Q105 Tampa for Scott Shannon to Z100 in New York. He's currently on a few stations on Sirius including Radio Margaritaville as Miles Hampton. One of my favorite people in the world.

He's been down the dial as a man with no name
It felt good to be broadcast again
On the dial, you can't remember your name
'Cause there's too many stations for to give you your name

I absolutely adore Miles, and appreciate all he's done for the BN community and parrotheads around the world, no matter what his name is. Great guy! :D
You’re still grinning, we’re still winning, nothing left to say
