Got kind of tired packing and unpacking,
Town to town and up and down the dial
Maybe you and me were never meant to be,
But baby think of me once in awhile.

I don't have Sirius (Shirley I can't be Sirius!) but Human Numan sounded familiar to me. He's been discussed on BN before...

The drinking I did on my last big gig, it made my voice go low
They said that they liked the young sound when they let me go
So I drifted on down to Tulsa, Oklahoma to do me a late night talk show
Now I worked my way down home again, here to Boise, Idaho
That's how this business goes

I been making extra money doing high school sock hops
I'm a big time guest MC
You should hear me talking to the little children
And listen what they say to me
Got a spot on the top of my head, just begging for a new toupee
And a tire around my gut from sitting on my butt
But it's never gonna go away

LOVE that guy!! After KZQ, "Gun" worked everywhere from Q105 Tampa for Scott Shannon to Z100 in New York. He's currently on a few stations on Sirius including Radio Margaritaville as Miles Hampton

I contacted Human and got this response.
And yes, I had his permission to copy and paste.

Well hello Molly :) Mystery solved I guess!
Because Radio Margaritaville and Hits 1 are in such alternate universes, it took someone a long time to connect these dots...and that allowed me the chance to be my alter ego (perhaps closer to my real self) on RM. I left the island of Margaritaville on Labor Day weekend 2011, steering to my own course. There was no firing, as some might speculate, although there were times I probably deserved it. ;) Jimmy and his organization are far too kind for such things. I think I left on the best of terms, and I think Steve Huntington can vouch for that. One thing i've always done, and that is listen to what your heart is telling you. My heart was saying it was time to move on, and get my Saturday nights back. By the way, Sara West is doing a terrific job in that timeslot now. Isn't she great? Maybe someday i'll find myself in a landing pattern headed back to that most wonderous place...but for now, i'm healthy, happy and rested, and still in a good state of mind. I do miss my friends at RM and Jimmy's fans, and their passion - which superscedes anything i'd ever witnessed before in this business. I'm still a Parrothead. Look for me at a concert having fun with the rest of you escapists. I had hoped to go quietly and slowly disappear, but it seems an explaination is demanded. Well as for my last words (with feathers flashing): "...A toast my dear friends... to Margaritaville!"

Love ya, miss ya, Miles!

Thank you for all of the magic, and the many smiles! I listen to your ukulele Happy 60th Birthday serenade to Cindi on occasion - that was beyond cool, as were so many other magnificent moments over the years! :D
