Checking out the over head pics of the BJCC area it seems that there have been some buildings torn down and leveled making the possibility of decent late winter tailgating. I'm the PHiP Ticket Coordinator for the Birmingham Concert. The Magic City PHC (Birmingham) are in the planning stage of getting things together for the Pre-Party and hotel rates. I will be talking to BJCC. When I do I'll ask about tailgating and get back to everyone on here about this plus the Pre-Party.

It better, I seem to have a problem with starting off good on planning, then kind of getting drunk and in the mood for some BROWN CHICKEN BROWN COWWW. Forgetting what I was doing to begin with then suddenly deciding that everyone wants to go skinny dipping....and then things tend to go downhill from there. Luckily I look real real good nekkid or else my wife would have ran me off years ago.
Be ready with all this excitement I'm liable to flake out @ any time.
any locals know of any good hotels to stay at withing walking distance and any info for tailgating spots or pre concert parties, or parrot head club gatherings? thanks for any info!

The Magic City PHC are working on the Pre Party and hotel. There will be a PH Rate at the hotel but they have not posted any of the details. The Hotel will be the Sheritan (sp)...it's right next door to the convention center.
thank you for the update... will be checking back here to find out how much they are and when they go on sale... Ive never been but is there good tailgating around the arena?
Not really but I'm trying to scrounge up some. I plan on checking out the PHC party too. The biggest worry I have is the late Feb. weather. It could be 80 degrees or it could be an ice storm.
This stands to affect the planning in a most major way.

When I hear anything I'll post it on here.
Have talked to two people at the venue and now waiting for the next one to call me back.
One person said no tailgating at the venue...then when I asked about the open parking lots around the venue she sent me to another person. That person said there will be a charge to park/tailgate (parking pass) but that I needed to talk to so an so about how to get the parking passes.
