I still remember going there 20 years ago, not too long after Stevies untimley death, and hearing his music played like it was nothing. This is just my personal belief. Do not knock me on it, because I can and WILL come back at you for your personal beliefs. Alpine was once a great place to go for a weekend to see a show, but now all it is, is a cash cow weekend for the local law enforcement.
But if it were closed who would see the shrine?

To see a true shrine and tribute to Stevie Ray Vaughn visit his hometown of Austin. The statue at Auditorium Shores will take your breath away.

I will not go to Alpine. I refuse to ever set foot on that property again, even if I have 3rd row seats. The day that they tear that place down will be the happiest day of my life!

Only way Alpine is any good is if your in the first few rows, and you do not have to deal with Wisconsin's "Finest"

It sounds like you had an encounter with the Walworth County Sherriff's Office? D.U.I.??? I guess that would explain your jaded view of Alpine

Hello from beautiful Lake Tahoe! Jimmy really should play here, by I divest. I hope this finds all of you in good health and fine spirits!

Just stopped by to check in, I see alot of concern as to Alpine this year. Although I can't 100% guarentee a show this year, am quite confident that from what I have been told, Alpine is on docket and getting close to being final.

An FYI, I was told that almost every hotel in the Lake Geneva area has been booked for the weekend of 6/22-6/24. Looks like speculation, but it is a possibility. I have NOT been informed of a definite date beyond what I disclosed a couple weeks ago.

Will be returning to the area the end of March, I would expect that we will hear way before then.

Hoping to have all the pre-concert party info available and out by then. Ashame about Coral Reefers unavailability, but I will do what I can to keep the "Here we are" attitude flowing. Not sure what Bruce at Two Seasons is planning but am confident he will also get things out shortly. I would expect that he will have the Boat Drunks and Cedar Island again.

Hemingways will have Pirates Over 40, Johnny & the Beach Bums, The Whaleshark, South Of Disorder, David Marshall Band, and Ilo if he is part of the tour for that leg (he is not under the same conditions as the coral reefers, but has not been confirmed by JB's management past April).

SO NO FRETS OR WORRIES - PARTIES ARE GONNA HAPPEN AND SO IS JIMMY

Deciding whether this will be my last year for my guest appearances in South of Disorder and the Jimmy summers. Lots of life changes for this pirate and JB wannabee and may be time to set sail for a new particular harbour in search of my occupation. We begin to evaluate life when dealing with loss and in search of the Far Side of the World. Its been a great ride, and its ALWAYS FUN!

As always, when I hear something, BNers will be one of the first to know!

Phins up BNers!

Nope, not a DUI. "Supposed" speeding around a curve, which I had to pay the fine up front, or go to the station.

Wow. We won't be offended if you never want to come here again. BTW - the same "pay up front or go to the station" rule applys everywhere in Wisconsin, not just for Alpine.

I also got busted on 43 going to the concert for speeding, I had just gotten of 12 and was maybe three miles away and got busted. All they wanted was my money, sent in the $200.00 or so and they dropped the charge from the record.

Def would recommend getting on a bus if u are going.

With Phish looking like they are playing Alpine June 30th and Country thunder being July 21st the logical wkend is june 23rd. That would be my guess based off the 3 rumored dates but Jimmy has surprised us before. lets hope we get a date soon!

Quick note to all -

Possible confirm soon - 6/23 or 8/25. Please remember, still tentative and may very well change. 50-50 on either as far as I my bet. But I could be wrong;-)

Will be flying and out of loop next few days. Lets hope we hear soon:-)

Thanks for giving us a couple possible dates to chew on, Steve - safe travels!

I'd personally prefer it be a little earlier than the end of August, but at this point, I'd be grateful for anything!

Not a fan of 8/25... daughter would not be down with me picking Jimmy over her birthday, and that's definitely NOT where she would want to celebrate it.

C'mon June!
