NFC Championship
Who will win?
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
Life is short, live long!!
I'd rather be a wiseass than a dumbass.

Re: NFC Championship
Well, I normally would concur with Ravi re: the Giants. But I almost think I want the Giants to win. Their defensive front will, I think, shut down the 49ers O.
Twenty degrees and the hockey games on...

Re: NFC Championship
Because the NFL is a business and everyone involved wants to make as much money as possible I think that the powers who be will skew (not fix . . . no preconceived WWE outcomes . . . just skew) the Super Bowl to a North Eastern population density television rating gold mine of profit for all. NYG v. NE.
the hit and run is as good as any religion around this time of year . . .

Re: NFC Championship
Which is beyond stupid. They might both still where the same uniforms, have the same Quarterbacks, and the same coaches but the Patriots and Giants are two entirely different teams from 2007. Sure, I want the Patriots to win a Super Bowl this year but I don't care who it is against. I have heard the "revenge" angle in the media now atleast 100 times and it is just laughable. Who. The. H*ll. Cares?aeroparrot wrote:And enter the revenge spin.....drunkpirate66 wrote:Because the NFL is a business and everyone involved wants to make as much money as possible I think that the powers who be will skew (not fix . . . no preconceived WWE outcomes . . . just skew) the Super Bowl to a North Eastern population density television rating gold mine of profit for all. Re: NFC Championship
watching the 2 games....it is can easly say both teams were pretty Lucky getting there,,,,,Evans drops a TD pass, and then the missed field goal. Patriots win. Then the 2 special team plays by the 49ers. A ball bounces and hits the returners leg , what was he thinking. and then a fumble , the conspiracy aspect of the NFL wanting the Pats / Giants Super Bowl really looked like it played out. But i'm excited for the match up....i get to here all the sports talk from both cities , which will be entertaining for the next couple of weeks. GO GIANTS!!!!

I disagree that the Pat's got lucky, any more than the Giants did. There were 4 teams that played yesterday and they all played terribly, but the better two teams survived. I'll give both teams the credit they deserve.TommyBahama wrote:watching the 2 games....it is can easly say both teams were pretty Lucky getting there,,,,,Evans drops a TD pass, and then the missed field goal. Saying the Pats were lucky because of the missed FG or dropped TD means having to admit that if Brady hadn't missed the 2 open receivers that were guaranteed TDs , they would have negated the points made by the Ravens missed TD & FG....the end result would've been the same, the Ravens still would have lost. Both teams made mistakes, the better team survived.
As for the Giants-Niners, both teams made mistakes, but the Niners miscues lead to 10 points for the opposition including the winning FG. I'm not a Giants fan, but I respect them for beating the Niners...they deserve it, they made the plays they needed, when they needed to make them.
I was unimpressed by all 4 teams yesterday, and I was happy to hear Brady admit after the game on live TV that he sucked and his D saved their ass. Some honesty like that is refreshing....I hope the Giants and Patriots both play much better in 2 weeks....and I hope the Patriots win.

i'm refering to the last couple of minutes of the Patriots game when it was crunch time...you can talk about a interception that Brady threw, that was called a penelty. and Flacco underthrowing Tory Smith ,
and a 3rd and 1 play they ran , that made no sense........Evans dropped a ball he should of caught, my opinioin...yes, the kick would only mean overtime. But , listen to the Boston sport stations , they even think the Patriots escaped with a win....we can agree to disagree...the beauty of sports.
Giants didn't turn the ball over.....and, the weather they had during the game, and the last few days in that region, had a lot to do with the game......also , 2 great defenses helped......Do i think the Giants were lucky...i do, and i'm a Giant fan..and i watched it with 30 diehard Giant fans , who think the same...whats the odds of a ball taking a bounce and hitting the returner in the leg....the overtime fumble was forced.
It should be a good....Giants D is healthy and clicking.....best front 4 in football , The offense is a lot healthier then they were all season....Patriots haven't played a team with 3 very good recievers ( Victor Cruz is a stud) and a very good TE .....but , Belichik is great coming up with a sceem , when he has 2 weeks to prepare. The hype and trash talking leading up should be fun!!
