I was feeling pretty good with a 5-1 lead and "sometimes" its not so much fun to know "someone" who's a graphic artist internet goober, ESPECIALLY when your team gets the broom!
Nice job Nats.

That had to be one of the most boring MLB All-State Games ever........and the fans treatment of Robinson Cano and family was inexcusible.

I heard the commotion when Cano was taking part in the Home Run Derby. Had no problem with that. What did the fans do to the family?

I've been on vacation and missed the introductions. I didn't think the game was boring at all. Dominate pitching over powered the AL again.

From Yahoo this AM-
NOTES: The NL extended the AL's scoreless streak to 14 innings - its longest drought since 1995-97. ... The NL won for just the sixth time in a quarter-century. ... The NL had last won three straight in 1994-96. ... It was the first All-Star shutout since the NL's 6-0 win in 1996 at Philadelphia. ... The Giants'
Barry Bonds was MVP of the '73 game.
Really?

In 1973 I was more of an A's fan... and then

1973- the year the DH became part of baseball and the beginning of the fall of our society, and the year I could no longer root for any AL team.

ESPN reported that fans were even hassling members of Cano's family in the rest rooms of all places...........c'mon people.

It's USUALLY the frat-brats with their $700.00 sunglasses and $400.00 sandals, but sports fans in general can go way above and beyond when it comes to being classless and mean. ESPECIALLY in groups.

How was home field advantage for the WS determined before this silly winner of the All-Star game? Best % during the regular season?

Ready for the second half!
Yahoo Sports posted their power rankings:
http://sports.yahoo.com/news/power-rank ... nM-;_ylv=3
1. New York Yankees (52-33; Previous: 2) – Vicente Padilla says Mark Teixeira once threatened him with a bat. That is not, however, the kind of peril that registers with a man who once shot himself.
2. Texas Rangers (52-34; Previous: 1) – When Yu Darvish is held out of All-Star game, viewers in Japan grant cuddly Jose Altuve temporary, late-inning citizenship.
3. Los Angeles Angels (48-38; Previous: 3) – Home Run Derby sees Mark Trumbo spend more time in fountain than cast of "Friends."
4. Washington Nationals (49-34; Previous: 4) – Mets petition league to count Stephen Strasburg's All-Star appearance against his innings ceiling.
5. Chicago White Sox (47-38; Previous: 12) – Chris Sale so skinny he has to jump around in the shower to get wet, which is one of the reasons Ozzie left.
6. Pittsburgh Pirates (48-37; Previous: 13) – Pirates expected to make big move come deadline. Thinking Altoona.
7. Cincinnati Reds (47-38; Previous:

– Reds All-Stars return from Kansas City reporting Tony La Russa not all that bad of a guy, you know, if you can overlook the fangs.
8. Atlanta Braves (46-39; Previous: 11) – Chipper's "man-crush" on Bryce Harper gets awkward when the two start passing notes during batting practice.
9. Los Angeles Dodgers (47-40; Previous: 6) – Several contenders seek utility infielders and extra outfielders at deadline, discouraged to find they're all starting for Dodgers.
10. San Francisco Giants (46-40; Previous: 5) – In brief postgame ceremony, All-Star MVP Melky Cabrera donates game spikes to Cooperstown highway construction project.
And the bottom three teams you might ask?
28. Chicago Cubs (33-52; Previous: 30) – Folks in Chicago can't get enough of Rizzo. Prefer the thick crust.
29. Colorado Rockies (33-52; Previous: 28) – Rockies call this the "Year of the Fan." Fans counter, "Don't put this on us."
30. Houston Astros (33-53; Previous: 26) – Astros' first half quite a rollercoaster. Jose Altuve really, really hoping he'll be allowed to ride next year.

Every team in the A.L. East is .500 or better.
Since division play began in 1969 (and since the current 3 division format was adopted in 1994), no division has ever had every team finish the season at .500 or better.
Probably won't happen this year either because for the last month of the season all teams essentially play teams within their own division, so in the meantime they'd ALL have to get a super hot streak going.
As I said, it most likely won't happen, but wouldn't it be something if it did.

Right now the Yankees are winning while the other AL East continue to beat up on each other......their 8 game lead might be too much to overcome for the other clubs. I know, there is a long way to go, but.......
Pretty sure my Orioles will finish below .500 again (for the 15th consecutive season)........they played well the 1st half, but the lack of starting pitching, poor defense, and inconsistent offense is finally catching up to them.
