Even though I was cheering for the Tigers, congratulations to the San Francisco Giants. I'm really happy for Wayne, Corey, Nikki, and Dan.
And how about the graciousness and class Jim Leyland showed in defeat. That man absolutely represents everything that's good about the game.

no expert here and at the Risk of sounding like a Homer..
A Dusty Baker ? the votes for Dusty were a due to the stroke and hospital time
B: let's see. one Skipper . lost one of the best closers in the game. and THEN lost the all-star VIP (and all the other stuff MR Cheater was doing)
and oh wait!! that Manager still won the World Series. after going 0-2 and winning and then going 1-3 and Winning the NLCS..

and no it should not be automatic that the World Series manager wins but in this case I think that the voters were wrong.

The issue with that thinking is that voting takes place prior to the postseason, if I remember correctly from the BBWAA website.

I didn't see Trout winning, but I thought it might have been closer. Glad the trophy stays in Detroit for another year.
