Haven't heard anything yet!! LOVE the venue as well and am anxiously awaiting to hear a date!

Never been there.......a friend asked me about any suggestions on places to stay? I hear it's in the middle of "nowhere"......

It is a great venue! We have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express at the PGH airport. It's about a 20 minute ride and the Steel City Fins have had their pre-party there in past years and caravan into the lots from there the morning of the show...

Went to my first Star Lake (First Niagara) show last year (my wife is from PGH); easily the best, friendliest venue I've ever seen a concert at. It feels like the parking lots open at 9 AM, and the tailgating there is second to none.

We will be going back this year guaranteed (if there's a show...). It is in the middle of nowhere, but that's what designated drivers are for.

Hubby and me have partied with the Steel City Fins but have not sayed at the Holiday Inn Express...but this year we will!! Love Tom Watt and friends.....and we have been in the caravan ride with 30+ cars to the venue for many, many years.......we were probably together with you having so much fun!!!

It is an excellent venue. I recommend staying at the Holiday Inn Express where the Steel City PHINS have they pre part pool party with Tom Watt aka The Buffett Man!!

I contacted First Niagra Pavilion to see if they might give us a hint about JB playing Pittsburgh this summer. Here is my email to them and their reply:

Hello Jennifer,
Can you please tell me if you have Jimmy Buffett scheduled to perform at First Niagra this summer? If so, can you please give me the date or at least the month that he is expected to play? Any word on when the concert and the on sale dates will be released? Thank you.

"Sorry, we don't have that info quite yet. Buffett is doing a summer tour and will be playing amphitheatres so we do expect him to play at First Niagara Pavilion this summer. That's all that we can confirm or know at this time."

Any new info on Pittsburgh 2012? It would really be great if Jimmy would play on a Saturday. We have not had a Saturday concert for a while now. I never mind taking vacation days for Buffett but the weekend would be awesome. This time of year always gets me pumped waiting for concert dates.

He played in Burgettstown last year on June 21st. I think this is a case of a promoter not changing the dates from the previous year. If you follow the "more details on magaritaville.com" at the bottom of the article it takes you to last year's archived dates.

Yup this has been happening all over the place....posting last years dates on this years calendars....it's just to keep us guessing, right

It definitely won't be July 13th or 14th--Dave Matthews is playing both days.

I wouldn't believe this until comfirmed. However, Jule 21, 20011 was a Tuesday. I guess we will wait and see.

Whenever it is the Buffett Broads and I will be there. The Pittsburgh parrotheads put on the best parties and bus trips. I've been to concerts all over the east side of the country and Pittsuburgh is BY FAR my favorite.

I'm waiting semi-patiently.

Yep, great place for a concert. If they could just get you parked faster. It takes forever. Not complaining though as long as Buffett is there!

I talked to Jennifer today. There only discussions from the promoter. I will see her early next month hopefully we will know before that..

Being a Steel City Fin we have not discussed the concert yet. As soon as we have the date we will lock on the the hotel.
