Wow just wow. I wasn't a fan of R&B when he was hot, but he is truly a legend. He opened doors for a lot of bands that would have most likely not made it. Very sad.

So sad...as another part of my youth is gone.
In high school, I would sleep in on Saturdays until noon, get up and watch American Bandstand and then that would lead into Souuuuuul Train.

I watched a lot of Soul Train when I was in high school. Wonder what had
him so upset that he shot himself.
