Boise could be in the Cards ......along with Billings, Montana.....Manhattan, Kansas......St Cloud , Minnesota. I guess Jimmy is full of surprises this year........could he possibly play cities he usually doesn't play, and skip over the regular stops....hmmm!!!!
I wonder? Tampa and Orlando seem to be the only regulars so far. I think the mixing it up is pretty cool.
Except that (no offense intended here ) but who wants to road trip to Nebraska or Iowa?????

I did about a month ago!

Lots of pretty (flat) scenery and good peeps in the heartland!
I'm just happy for the many people who don't get to any shows due to the travel expenses, that are being given opportunities this year.

Yep Yep. Uh huh, uh huh..

The shows that are showing up in cities that aren't normally on the schedule tickles me to no end.

I agree that it's great that JB is playing some "non-traditional" sites for the WTF or whatever-it's-called-early-2012 tour.........
But it would be nice if he just announced the whole 2012 concert season (he has to know where he's playing by now) so his fans can make the proper plans. Many of us need to schedule vacation time, etc.

didn't Jimmy add a number of late spring concerts at venues less visited the year he took the summer off? And isnt he working to complete a new albumn.......I hate to think what I just thought is true...

now I need a boat drink.
2001 was the year Jimmy took time off in the summer.

I still cant believe their isnt a competing Outdoor shed to Pine Knob in michigan. Freedom hill and meadowbrook are way to small. There was rumors in the early 2000's that someone was trying to build a new shed in either Ionia or on Lake Michigan. I believe the financing fell thru.
Boyne Mountain has had Kid Rock shows but I wouldnt think that would be a good place.
I know for a fact that Rothbury wanted Jimmy but he went to Bonnaroo that year. of course Rothbury isnt around anymore either.

you know tickets for a GW show will probably go on sale the day of the NEPHC.....which would s*** , because i'd be on the road. Not that i usually buy when they go on sale , but , i do go on, just in case the lower pavilions ( 1st 4-5 rows) somehow pop up!!

Omaha? Des Moines? Surely must be a spot for Seattle!
I'm just hoping this isn't the "Let's hit some new towns for this one last tour" tour!

I always wish for a concert in Seattle. That is one area I haven't visited enough.

Got a email from someone in the know... look for a Mohegan Sun show in the summer... makes more sense than Hartford...for obvious reasons...I'd prefer another venue but anywhere in Ct is good for me!

I'd be OK with that. I just hope it's not when I have tickets for something else.

Just for sh!ts & giggles, I looked up in my old emails when we purchased our tickets last year for G.W......March 12th!!! Dave said...you can bet on it..just because it's the sat. of the convention!!
My prediction...and I hope I'm wrong, no G.W. just Mohegan.
I say this because 1.) I thought I heard that the Mohegan thing was a 5 year deal and I believe he's only played there four. 2.) add to the fact that there are all kinds of different things going on...G.W.'s didn't sell out 2 years ago..maybe he's trying to stir the pot a bit.

Tailgating in Boise can be absolutely great! If you don't believe me, ask anyone who has been to a Boise State Football Game..... Taco Bell Arena in Boise is calling for a Margaritaville Event next to the Blue... Sounds like a match to me....

Gah, I hope not...Mohegan is better than nothing, and it's fine for a fall show...but for summer I would really prefer to see him at an outdoor venue.
I really wonder if he is playing Newport Folk/Jazz fest and the show will be timed closer to those dates.
