I agree , but , we should be use to this , every year it's the same thing!!!....i think he knows Parrotheads will travel , and in most cases, will sell out anyways. So, why rush.ScarletB wrote:TommyBahama wrote:Haha!!!!......i don't think we'll here anything for a couple of weeks!!!ScarletB wrote:<-------Seriously starting to lose interest.
I just feel bad for people who have to ask for time off. I'm lucky, I can pretty much do what I want in terms of not being at work. I will never understand how every other artist on the planet can put tour dates together all at once (and not have to cancel some in mid tour) and Jimmy can't.

Bam! Face it, at $150 per tick with fees his actual "concert" is not really breaking any new ground. While I've paid the piper continually since '06 shelling out for the $130-$150 ticks I keep thinking this is the year I go on the cheap & buy lawn.....or forget the show altogether & just do the tailgate. I think the shows (And not just Jimmy's) are beginning to price themselves out of the automatic sellout.ScarletB wrote: But he's not selling out all the time anymore, there are still tickets available for Tampa. I know some of it is the economy but maybe people just get sick of this annual dance and put their money into other things before they miss out on those too. Especially this year when a bunch of big acts are touring, Springsteen, Van Halen, the Beach Boys, Madonna etc etc.
Just for giggles I checked Birmingham and there are tickets still available in the middle section up front.
cost i'm sure is a factor!!!....how about the fact, he tours every year , and other bands don't ( except the Beach Boys , but there tickets usually are cheap)....maybe the concert part is getting old , stale. You pretty much hear the same songs, with a few others mixed in.what was special with Key West was the set list , except he had to end it with 5 0'clock somewhere..Just a guess and not a opinion on this!!ScarletB wrote:TommyBahama wrote:I agree , but , we should be use to this , every year it's the same thing!!!....i think he knows Parrotheads will travel , and in most cases, will sell out anyways. I think the size of the venues and the prices do keep them from selling out. Van Halen sold out at Mohegan Sun the first day but there are still tickets available for the Verizon Arena in Manchester NH - although that's a week night so that may have something to do with it. Their tickets are comparable in price to Jimmy's, but then again they haven't toured in years and this one is probably "it" for them.Dr.Corona wrote:Bam! I am as anxious as the rest of you for him to annouce the "rest" of this years tour. Dont understand why they dont just roll it out at once and build the summer time hype?
But all you folks who are bitching & moaning about the concert exp for whatever reason?? You folks have to understand, the man is working on limited time, as far as # of years he will continue to do this AT ALL!
So rather than gripe and complain, just be happy we as Parrotheads STILL have the opportunity to see our guy/band live period. And he still puts on a kick ass show, no mater how many times we have heard them!!!
If you really have that big of a problem... It is simple. DON'T GO TO THE SHOW. But please stop whinning! The rest of us still have our Fins Up!
