But all you folks who are bitching & moaning about the concert exp for whatever reason?? You folks have to understand, the man is working on limited time, as far as # of years he will continue to do this AT ALL!

So rather than gripe and complain, just be happy we as Parrotheads STILL have the opportunity to see our guy/band live period. And he still puts on a kick ass show, no mater how many times we have heard them!!!

If you really have that big of a problem... It is simple. DON'T GO TO THE SHOW. But please stop whinning! The rest of us still have our Fins Up!

Reasons for the bitching and moaning:
It's the end of February......
lots of folks have cabin fever.....
we only have a handful concerts dates.......
$150 IS a lot for a ticket..........

hence the reason for venting.......
We know Bubba isn't going to do this forever. And we really enjoy tailgating to see friends. So shortly more dates will be announced, the weather will warm up and life will be good. Yea.....Bob walked in the door last night and I jumped all over him.......and not in a good way. Of course, when we've had a really bad winter, I had to make an emergency trip to the Bahamas so I wouldn't commit murder......

Not to mention, a lot of us don't have unlimited vacation time and don't always get our first choice of days. The longer he waits to announce, the less chance we have of being able to get those certain days off.

Our vacation requests through September 30th have to be submitted by February 29th.
Guess if it is during the week I'll be calling out sick <cough, cough>.

This is fun, but do you remember the old days. You would hear about a concert on the radio a few days before tickets went on sale, or see it in the paper the day before the sale date!!!

in my earlier days , before Buffett , i knew the lady at the local ticketmaster , if she saw me in line she would ask how many tickets i needed , we would tell her. When we got in , the tickets were waiting for us. We never told anyone , one show i think Van Halen , a couple of female friends were in line real close , rubbing it in our face that they will get better seats , well were they p*** when we showed them pur tickets. I wish i still had those contacts for Buffett , the 1st couple of years weren't bad , get there about 6am , no-one there ( not many Buffett fans in my town) it was great , then they closes , had to go to another town , and thats when the lottery system started . I was so p*** the 1st time , 2nd in line and end up in the back , all the scalpers( who i know most by site) were getting moved up in line. That was the last time doing that.

Yea.....the last time I camped out, a broker's 2 flunkies got in line on Thursday for a Saturday morning sale. One guy asked what was up and they said the broker had people at every TM in the area and they were all first in line. They each got max allowable seats and lawns. I was 4th in line......and got 300 section......never again.

Spoken like a true Mainer, ayuh.

I'm nervous because I am gunning for one concert as an extra special birthday present and put all my chips on just a handful of venues (GW, RedRocks, Alpine, Frisco, Jones Beach, Jazz Fest) hoping to land THE JB tailgate/concert experience. Looks like I can already scratch Frisco and Jazz Fest as possibilities, and, if it turns out he doesn't announce any of those other places or if he does so on days that I simply cannot get out of work, I'll be sunk. It will be too late to go back and buy a ticket to Tampa or someplace else I might have picked had I known ahead of time that my first choice venues were a no-go in 2012. My stomach gets queasy when I visit the Tour Dates page of the Margarita website and see none of my first choice venues listed.

He went to Jazz Fest last year......we had a great time but he played a lot of Yellow album. Can't say no way for this year.....but I wouldn't bet anything that he going to show up. [smilie=nope.gif] He's not playing Pizza Hut Park in Frisco. He is playing GEXA Pavillion in Dallas and if I know the Texas folks, they will put on the fantastic tailgate......can't go wrong there! :D As for Alpine, GW, Jones Beach.......patience Grasshopper.....all will be revealed....and don't worry about finding a ticket to Tampa (or other places)......there's loads available right now for Tampa on TM.

We just need to hang on another week.........I hope.......

Welcome to the board! And the GW tailgating is quite the experience. Many BN'ers flock to this show.
