Funny . . . i went to my 1st Vegas show to make up for a bad Chicago experience about 5 years ago. Vegas was just awesome . . . went back the next year too. Missed a few since but its on my radar for this year should Jimmy decide to play there instead of Reno or something crazy like he's been doing.

yeah it was AMAZING 6th row VIP from my casino host...SO GOOD!!!

only way to go to a show and sit so close is go to vegas, then you dont have to fight for tickets or anything like that

Just saw on Margaritaville's web site that Jimmy will be at The First Midwest Bank on June 30, tickets go on sale April 2!

This is sad. It marks the end of the Parrot Dice Lounge as it has been known to become.

Terrible date for me! We are taking the parakeets to Wisconsin Dells that weekend. Plus cannot believe he went back to Tinley Park. I hope they at least let people tailgate more than in the past. Lets hope the Alpine date is a good one.

I'm just wondering if I should buy tickets for a venue that no one seems to be happy about or trust that he will do a show at Alpine again this year? :-? [smilie=noeyedear-shrugging.gif] [smilie=nope.gif]

What's the tailgate situation there? I thought Jimmy nixed this place because of their tailgate policy. I liked Toyota Park!

We were all excited because we bought a Jeep Wrangler this winter. Planning on taking the top down, taking the back seat out to fit the cooler and everything! Seriously, I feel like crying.

On the positive side, the lawn is always a good party. I haven't been to a concert there in years. I remember the sound being awful. They still don't allow tailgating though, correct? Is there a way around that? That's my biggest concern!

I do like the lawn at Tinley and that is the only thing I missed from that place. We saw Kings of Leon a couple of years ago there and we took 2 minutes to get ourselve together and there were parking lot workers pushing us to get moving. But in years past for Buffett you could get in between 2 and 3 and "tailgate" but no grills and stuff like that. So to me it is like tailgating "light"...not true tailgating with a whole set up all day. Hopefully they will change that but who knows these days. I would still go if I was not already booked to vacation with the kids so don't be too discouraged about going. It can still be a lot of fun on the lawn!

Been awhile since I've seen JB there but when he used to play this venue people would start tailgating at the Holiday Inn/Convention Center parking lot in the morning, and they would then open the venue parking lots around 3pm for "tailgating". JB use to be the only show they'd allow tailgating for, and rumor has it he supposedly paid the town a "fine" each year to allow peple to tailgate. It's been 5 years since he's played there so who knows what this year's rules will be.

That's exactly how I remember it. Always a great time... I may have even preferred it to Toyota in some aspects.
