Well you can forget about that Comerica show because the Tigers are on a long Home Stand that week and there would be no time to setup a stage. The only date that would be open is a saturday the 11th show when the tigers hit the road. They would only have one day on friday to set up the stage.

If Tim has some legit info on a show downtown it would have to be at Ford Field or the 11th. I still think its the 7th at Pine Knob or nothing this year from things I've heard which isnt very much this year. I would say its 70/30 this year on NO show/ show.

yeah I froze my butt off at the November show. Weirdest tailgate ever. I also remember friends going to Hudsons in the okemos mall to camp out on valentines day to buy tickets for another palace show. I would probably skip a palace show too. I dont like being confined to a 2 foot area at shows like Jimmys. The palace is ok for shows where you sit most of the time, but not for dancing around good time shows

we went to see the Kenny show last Aug and the tailgate part sucked ..... in broken up small parking lots...... no shade....no grass......no ambiance and no fun. the concert itself was great, but I would not want to see JB there. the combo of all the acts last year at Ford Field worked, but it would be like seeing JB at the ACC in Toronto .......I am not doing it again!

PINE KNOB ......... PINE KNOB ............ PINE KNOB ........... PINE KNOB ...........PINE KNOB

Was just browsing tickets across the country...

Dallas, Chicago and Pittsburgh still have LAWN tickets available. Cinci lawn is sold out. Pine Knob will sell out in 30 seconds, c'mon Jimmy, come back to the D!

I remember a few years ago I bought tickets to the Riverbend concert because it wasn't announced that he was coming to Pine Knob. After I already bought tickets it was announced he was coming here so I just went to both shows. I have had to go to Riverbend to see him at least once because he didn't come here. I'm still hoping he comes here because I am too broke to travel right now.

Zac Brown has lots of open dates in between his announced shows. Enough for a Jimmy mini tour. They are sponsored by Jack and Landshark lager.

Totally agree. :(

Lower deck sightlines are really bad for baseball, can't imagine they'd be any better for a concert. Upper deck is a mile away.

I cannot believe the negativity surrounding this!? For one, we have a date! Be thankful.

I love tailgating downtown Detroit, whether it's for the Lions or Tigers. No doubt there will be a coordinated effort to flock together. Look at the positives...

1) WE HAVE A SHOW

2) Brush St. between Comerica and Ford Field will turn into a giant street party. The Elwood or Cheli's will be another cool option leading up to concert time.

3) Perhaps either a Lion or Tiger will make a stage appearance...this is right around the opening of training camp each year for the Lions.

4) The atmosphere will be incredible with nearly 40,000 at CoPa. Sure, the sound won't be magnificent but to see the Detroit skyline paired with a Buffett backdrop will be amazing.

5) We have a show.

Roar. Buffett. Yes!

The 2 negatives compared to Pine Knob are (1) SOUND & VISION............(2) Pine Knob's lot is GREAT as you're able to patrol the entire lot & seek out other members of the flock without a whole lot of hassle. Now with some coordination I suppose you can seek out pholks near the COPA, but it's damn spread out. plus you won't have the room of the "oasis" we have at PK & hard to imagine the lots downtown will give you the room we get at PK.
Other than that...No problem Mon!
