Didnt see any response to this.

I know Bill lives kinda close to the venue, wonder if someone could arrange to 'swing' by his place to get his tire set-up, ASSuming he still has it.

Perhaps someone with his number could give him a call. Doubt he's using the tire swing for anything else that same day.

Otherwise, a used tire can usually be acquired from any tire shop. --they have to pay to recycle them, so they may give it away.

Rope is a Texas standard, so just look behind your truck bench-seat and we're ready to go.

Hi Pholks,

A few questions for those who plan to be there on Wednesday. I'll be there sometime later in the day/evening Wednesday.

1) Are the Wednesday night lot people planning on going to the restaurant with ETP and others, or is the lot a once you're in you stay in deal?

2) How late will they allow arrives to the lot on Wednesday?

3) Are tiki torches allowed on the lot or would those be prohibited?

4) Would anyone be interested if I brought a badminton set or would that be an unnecessary distraction from our other priorities like drinking and eating ETP's awesome meatloaf?

Thanks, see everyone soon,

JohnMc

I'M NOT SURE HOW MANY ARE COMING TO EL FENIX. PLEASE JOIN US IF YOU HAVE TIME. THE JURY IS STILL OUT ON THE COMING AND GOING. I'VE SENT SEVERAL EMAILS TO THE VENUE PARKING LOT GUY, BUT AS OF TODAY, NO RESPONSE. AFTER I PICK UP ALISON AND MICHAEL, WE'RE GOING TO SWING BY AND I'M HOPING THAT AN EMAIL TRAIL I *DO* HAVE WITH THE PL GUY WILL ALLOW US TO GET IN TO HELP DIANE AND PATRICK SET UP.

THE ONE THING I *THINK* WE HAVE IN OUR FAVOR IS WE'RE AT THE FAR END OF THE PARKING LOT. THE CLUBS, VIPS, ETC. WILL WANT TO BE CLOSER TO THE VENUE. AT LEAST, THAT'S WHAT I'M HOPING.

2) How late will they allow arrives to the lot on Wednesday? I'M NOT SURE. THEY'LL PROBABLY CLOSE THE LOT BY DARK, IF I WERE GUESSING.

3) Are tiki torches allowed on the lot or would those be prohibited? I DIDN'T SEE IT LISTED ON THE 'NOT ALLOWED' LIST THAT THE PL GUY SENT.

4) Would anyone be interested if I brought a badminton set or would that be an unnecessary distraction from our other priorities like drinking and eating ETP's awesome meatloaf? WOULD LOVE TO HAVE THE BADMINTON SET. THERE'S REAL DIRT TO ANCHOR IT.

Thanks, see everyone soon,

Last of the loaves are in the oven. My refrigerator looks like an aluminum bomb went off inside. :D

I hope ya'll enjoy them ... but it won't hurt my pheelers if you don't. It's a family recipe ... pretty simple ... meat, onions, bell peppers, milk, eggs, bread crumbs, tomato sauce and worchestershire sauce, salt and pepper (It's under SUNDAY MEATLOAF in the PHruitcakes cookbooks). Has a tomato sauce/catsup/worchestershire sauce topping that goes on in the final 15 minutes, which gives it a sweet/tangy kick.

For those who don't like cold meatloaf sammies, Michael suggested we toss one on the grill, which is fine with me.

I *think* ChefMikee is bringing something to go with ... I believe he said some kind of special smashed potatoes or potato salad ...

What I plan to have is white bread, lettuce and mayonnaise. If you want something else, please bring it with you. 8)

Off to the showers.

I have ketsup, mustard and Miracle Whip to bring for sandwiches, hamburgers, whatever you decide to bring.

If you want pickles, guess you need to bring the kind you like?

Any ideas on how I can bring my corn hole boards as checked-luggage?

I'd need to wrap them in something, tho they're in a zipper bag....but it's not enough to just toss in the belly of the plane.

Won't fit in my largest suitcase. Won't be buying a bigger one ;)

Go to the UPS store, ship it and then see if someone will mail it back to you after the show?

No ideas on that, sorry. But as an employee of a travel insurance company, I can just IMAGINE the claim for damaged or lost cornhole boards. Not sure if they'd be qualified as sporting equipment?

Here are our instructions ... please follow them carefully, as they've gone out of their way to help us with parking at Hoot Island.

They will have barricades up for us during the day Wednesday, but they'll come down Wednesday evening.

I have asked about going and coming Wednesday. I can't think it would be a problem, but am waiting for an answer.

Enter through GATE 11 off of Fitzhugh Ave & tell the parking attendant they are part of “Hoot Island.” Your folks will need to manage the area (protecting your spots).

Everyone needs to get there asap Thursday as they can't guarantee us a place as the lot fills up.

But since we're at the end of the world, as far as parking goes, maybe we'll all be safe and settled by the time the rest of the phlock shows up.

Please remember to thank any staff that comes around ... and let's help them any way we can.

Your pal,
ETP
