They make travel sizes...don't guess that is what you have.

So I checked American Airlines size limits for checked-baggage....linear inches no larger than 62....boards are 2.5 x 22.5 x 33.5= 58.5 linear inches....and they weigh 27.2 lbs. but then....

American Airlines gives ONE free checked bag to "Customers who purchase full-fare tickets in Economy Class". I couldn't tell if that's what I bought, so I called.

After navigating the voice recognition software (which I actually think is kinda fun) I got to an agent. I asked if I paid a "full-fare" price, to which she told me the full-fare price was over $1000.....so in order to get ONE free bag I would have needed to spend more than another $700.....suddenly the $25 checked-bag fee looks cheap....but in this case I won't be paying it

....so I'm not bringing my cornhole boards

And I could tell, she said it with a straight face. No chuckle, no sense of "now this is crazy", just flat out, that would have been $1,450,789.63 sir......
