Thought I'd mention that I brought my dad's old Volcano 8-track tape on the OFF chance that Jimmy might autograph it from my 4th row seat in Dallas tonight... and HE DID!!!!
The show was over, Jimmy was saying goodnight, and I held up my tape with Sharpie attached. He looked at me and shouted, "8 track?! Whoa!", shocked that anyone might still own one.
So cool!!! This is definitely going on my rock shrine in my home.
Fins up, y'all. And to y'all good night.
Here is the photo John Mc put on photobucket:
This is so awesome!!! Thank you guys for posting! John, you're the man!
(That's me in the white captain's hat and double thumbs up.)
P.S. – Don't know if that's Jimmy's personal security guy with him on stage, but down in the pit, he sang along to ALL of the songs ... even Migration and Making Music For The Money. Loved that.

Does ANYONE know who the guys were who were "playing music" at the end of the Island?
You may look back in this thread.
I believe he posted and asked if it would be okay.
I haven't read back, but someone (BB maybe?) told me about that. We concluded that was the guy sitting near Wes. I did see him pack up a guitar later in the day. I really think these guys were different.
Actually the older guy that played with just the Kiddo with the long black hair is a X-Coral Reefer. His name is Michael Jeffrey's.. I have no idea who the "original" guys were that played most of the day. Michael only played a couple of songs right before we started breaking down to go into the concert
Buffett, Beer & Brisket..
Now that's how we play in TEXAS!!!

thanks for that update. To be clear it's the "original guys" you refer to that I'm talking about.
My love is staying an anchor tied to you with that silver chain.
Sigh. This time last week, I was in an airplane somewhere over Memphis on my way to Texas, where I was greeted with Sonny Bryan's BBQ, and treated like a High Priestess should be, and fussed over when I didn't feel good.
Post Buffett concert letdown is one thing. Post Dallas Buffett concert letdown is something else entirely.

I just love this. And, you, too.
Gentilly ... 42 years is a long time to wait .... a Northeast Texas woman can hope.

I'm still trying to wrap my mind around getting a shout out for Sulphur Springs AND hearing "Migration" and "Cowboy in the Jungle" in Dallas. Thank you, Jimmy.

It was an amazing show!!!!
Before the show started, I ask Larry if he thought JB would play The Weight as a tribute to Levon.
I'm sure my face was priceless when he started the tribute.

I hope he plays that at GW.
You only have two options - havin' fun or freakin' out...

I have to say that was my favorite part. They really did that song and Levon justice.

Didn't they!!!
Since Peter and Jim didn't play guitar on the song, I wonder if they didn't have time to practice, so only JB and Mac were playing?
It was a great song.
I saw people video-ing it but haven't found it on Youtube yet.
