It will be nice to go back to the island ... I know we can't recreate ALL the magic of Hoot Island, but I'm glad to visit there again. I love the venue. So many great concert memories there.

That's where we found out there really is a Santa... Pharmaid is not for sissy's...and rain turns grownups into barefoot children!...woohoo wouldn't miss it!

sadly- I don't think I will make it. Middle of the week is hard, but on top of it all, the 21st is one of our biggest fundraising events for the MS society. it would be hard for me to get off from work....

We will be there, we were not around for HOOT island but the stories are great. This venue was the site of my first Buffett Concert, and I think it was on a Thursday

I'm looking for a deal ... there are several motels near where Bill lives. Not as close as Market Center, but not too far.

Wherever ya'll stay, go EAST and NORTH ... not SOUTH ... There really are no places I'd recommend close to/within walking distance of the venue. Remember this is the state fair grounds ... while the area is a lot better than 10 years ago, it's still not the safest place in the city. Just sayin'.

I've called a couple of downtown hotels. They're supposed to get back to me. We'll see.

Well I guess if you're going I'm going...Can't have you hanging out by yourself!! I also missed Hoot Island and agree there are some good stories that were told!!

In November, I stayed at the Magnolia Hotel in Downtown. It's close to the venue and they have a full breakfast each morning.
