Talk about your "Changes in Latitudes" -- Parrotheads won't be heading to Frisco for the annual tailgate and concert at FC Dallas Stadium (formerly Pizza Hut Park).

Instead, Jimmy Buffett will hold his concert at Gexa Energy Pavilion (formerly Superpages.com Center, Coca-Cola Starplex, et al) on April 19, 2012.

"Margaritaville" fans often spoke of the Frisco show as one of the best tailgating opportunities on the singer's U.S. tour. In fact, we'd see folks showing up a day ahead of the concert to stake out a good spot to party.

The venue change is only part of the adjustment for Parrotheads -- the concert is now set on a Thursday night instead of the traditional Saturday.

Luckily for RV-driving, "Cheeseburger in Paradise"-eating fans, the Gexa organizers will allow recreational vehicles in for a fee starting at noon on the concert day.

Tickets for the concert go on sale Feb. 18 at 10 a.m. Tickets range from $36.50 to $136.50.

There is no way I can coordinate that this year. With work, rodeo and sister's upcoming surgery, my plate is VERY full.

Fair Park MUSIC venue is smaller than PHP, but I'm glad I'll have my walking buddy around again. Sure hope you make it!! The parking lot will be great...even if it is pouring down rain.

Maybe Jimmy will do Woodlands, just down the road on Tuesday. That would be the ticket!

I would be surprised if Jimmy calls this the Fin Land Tour, since he usually has a new name by the time he comes to Texas. A lot of times we have had the first show of the new tour.

Okay kiddies, this is me in moderate panic mode. Thursday I can do. No new tour named? Change in venues (don't get me wrong, I like fair park because it has lawn seats!!!! But I've become too attached to the pre-party. Please tell me how I'm going to do this? Should we kick the RV to the curb and drive over? Get a hotel with a bunch of you (EastTx, you are so getting an IM from me)? Give a girl a clue! I was over in TN/MO etc during the "Hoot Island" Mind explaining???
We had 2 people planning to ride with us from Memphis and stay in our RV. Decisions will have to be made pretty quickly around here. I want to see all of my FFF friends, but that's a hell of a trip. I can easily go to STL and they only have tailgate the day of. It's microscopic. Is there anyplace that has a tailgate like FFF??? I think not!

Well we've been wanting to go "back to the island" now, haven't we??? Bummer about it being on a Thursday though, we may have to forego our trip to Jazzfest, Pharmboy can't take off that many weekdays during the school year and there is no way we are missing Hoot Island 2!

Saw that. Was looking for a little more than just you can enter at noon. Unless I missed something. Usually venues have a list of rules on their website but I can't seem to find anything. Thanks though.

I was afraid the Saturday shows might come to an end.
Not every venue can have a Sat show....there are no guarentees and none that he will come back to YOUR area.
