Re: Who's going to Omaha April 14, 2012
I had 2 computers going at the same time and I was able to get 2 tickets in 209! WTF? I was in right at 10 and I could only get at the end of the place?!?!?! pretty frustrated here. At least I have tickets but actually wanted to pay to get floor seats this time. And its funny how many freaking tickets are already on Ebay and Stubhub! Asking $999 per ticket for second row but they did not list the seat numbers. I'm still trying to find random seats...a few have come up but mostly the same seats as we have.

I got in at exactly 10:00 and pulled up a seat in section 202 (BEHIND the stage), so I threw it back, tried again, got shut out, so I thried a THIRD time and got one in section 220. Upper nose-bleed section to the left of the stage. Not a very good seat, but I'm in. All this happened within 3 minutes. Where the hell did all the GOOD tickets go?

Just found this forum....This will be our 3rd Buffett concert only. Very excited he is coming to OMAHA!!! Secured tickets this morning in person. Online was not happening and logged on right at 10- as well as being in a real line. Got crappy seats but we are in the arena. And we were Number 4 in line!!
Need to think about tailgating and attire now.

The Omaha concert will be our first Jimmy Buffett experience, should be a lot of fun. We are local so if anyone needs any suggetions for restaurants or other things to do let me know and I will help if I can. Upstream Brewing Company is a really good place, lot of room, lots of good food, and a really big selection of craft brew. The Old Mattress Factory is a really easy walk from the Centry Link and a fun bar\restaurant. Lots of other unique and chain restaurants in the Old Market which is about a 10 or 15 minute walk from the Clink As others have mentioned the Hilton on 10th would be the best place to stay as it is connected to the Clink by a sky bridge so if you got to Omaha and inside your hotel you wouldn't need to go outside again. I can't imagine that they wouldn't let people tailgate, the parking lots are shared with the Ameritrade Park which is where they hold the College World Series and everyone is tailgating during the Series. Another option may be for someone to call the Old Mattress factory, like I said are probably a 5 minute walk from the Clink and 2 minutes from the Hilton and during the College World Series they close their lot and put up a big outdoor beer garden....maybe they would do the same for the concert?
I got in to Ticketmaster right at 10am and I can't decide if I got good tickets or not? We are in the lower bowl, section 125 about half way up. If you go to the Century Link site at http://www.centurylinkcenteromaha.com/A ... aHome.aspx and look at more info for Jimmy Buffett we are the section directly to the right of the stage, it says we are in the $76 seats but I only paid $190 ($36 plus the other charges) for the 4 seats. We have been in the lower bowl next to the stage for other shows and they are usually pretty good seats. You get close without being on the floor and have a prettly good view. Does Jimmy use a fairly open stage and work all ends or is he mostly in the middle of the stage for the show?

The parking lots that are run by the Clink are all fenced in. This is for the CWS to help control fan drinking. At the old location things got out of hand and the NCAA wanted to reverse this trend. Not sure what they will do for the JB event but there are options that might be available.
As newbie mentioned there's a nice restaurant bar 2 blocks away that has good parking and not controlled be the CLink. They however might sell out to corporate sponsors and charge to tailgate. The hotels might let you tailgate in their lots or there is one location that we tailgated for the CWS that is 1 block north of the hotels that catered to tailgaters. I'll contact my buddy and see if this area is open.
FYI - For those gamblers, casino's right across the river in Council Bluffs.

Are you positive that the lots across (just west and north) from the CLink are fenced? They might do so as a temporary thing for the CLS but last time I was there they were not fenced. During AkSarBen last year there was no fence.gusman wrote:The parking lots that are run by the Clink are all fenced in. This is for the CWS to help control fan drinking. Got 9 tickets right beside the stage 101 on Stub Hub for $10 more a seat... They have some awesome seats on there. I always just use them any more... That way I get the seats I want, might pay a little more but, it is worth it to me..

This will be our fifth show. First show at Centurylink in Omaha. We were able to get Section MF9 row 20. Does anyone know how the sections are numbered on the main floor?

Almost positive that the fences are permanent. I'll be there tonight and double check.blackcows wrote:Are you positive that the lots across (just west and north) from the CLink are fenced? The Main Floor use to go by row number and seat number.stsomewhere wrote:This will be our fifth show. First show at Centurylink in Omaha. We were able to get Section MF9 row 20. Does anyone know how the sections are numbered on the main floor?
Seats 1-12 are on right facing stage, seats 13-26 are center stage, and 27-38 are on left facing stage.
Row numbers are 1 to mid 50s. Set up depends on where they want to put isles across, usually around rows 30 and 40 will have and isle in front of them.

Re: Who's going to Omaha April 14, 2012
When we saw the section listed as MF9 and row 20 we were hoping we would be in row 20. With the section listed as MF9 we started to think maybe we are further back. We will definitely know on 14 April. We live in KC and Daughter goes to UNL so seems like a natural to go to Omaha show. This must be an addiction. Since the following week Jimmy would be in KC we couldn't help ourselves and bought additional tickets. I ended up buying 2 sets of 4 tickets in the 46 dollar area. Was originally after 4 but i placed an additional order unintentionally. In the next few weeks I may have these posted on the forum. Thanks for everyone's help.
PHins up.

Re: Who's going to Omaha April 14, 2012
I have a feeling those big sections will be subdivided into smaller sections once down on the floor. 9 will probably be in the back but that doesn't mean you can't wander up during the show to closer seats that are not taken. It all depends on the people working the show.

Re: Who's going to Omaha April 14, 2012
Went by the CLink last night and yes the fences are still up and as I thought permanent.
MECA (Metropolitan Entertainment & Convention Authority) which runs the CLink and the TD Ameritrade Park (baseball stadium next to CLinK) also controls what goes on in the parking lots. Since there is a college baseball game currently scheduled at 4PM (Creighton vs Iowa) on the same day as the concert, the no alcohol rule will probably be enforced. It is being talked about moving the time and maybe date of the baseball game but not sure if those talks are being successful.
I do know that the Omaha Parrot Head Club is using The Old Mattress Factory (block west of CLink) for there get together and another club is talking to Rick's Boatyard (block east of CLink) about using there venue.

The irony to our experience is we were initially shut out on two computers. My wife go on the phone with ticketmaster and while she was on phone i kept trying and 9 minutes after 10 two floor tickets came up. We were delighted.stsomewhere wrote:Its a great hobby!
