We will be there! For those that are upset that tickets were hard to get, Buffett hasn't been to Omaha for a concert since the 70s, of course it is going to be a hot ticket! We have been waiting so long! It's just nice to not have to travel for this one!

So is there any kind of gathering or meeting up place you guys are planning on attending so far? Or is it wandering around? Suggestions are most welcome. When you mention the Parrothead clubs going to Rick's Boatyard or the Mattress Factory, can non-club members get in to these places or are they considered 'private parties only'? We are local so we are familiar with both those establishments but new to the Buffet tailgating/pre-concert fun.

I think most of us are waiting to hear if tailgating will be allowed or not. If so, we will be in the lot. If not, I'm sure we will hit up one of the pre-parties. It has been my experience that anyone can get into the club parties. I'm sure things will become more solid as we get a little closer to the show.

If there is NO -TAILGATING.. the PRE-PARTYS are fun. mosty of the time you donate $20 and it goes to charity. but you can drink and eat for free. I just came back from jacksonville and for $20 it was all you can drink LANKSHARK. no food. varies

Our current plan is for me to pick Larry up at the Des Moines airport at noon on Friday the 13th, then drive to Omaha, arriving probably just after 2 PM. (I may have him do the driving from Des Moine to Omaha since I'll be getting off work at 6 AM that morning and will have to hurry home to shower, change, and leave for Des Moines-an hour & a half drive from my house). I'm sure we'll check in at the hotel first, and I'll no doubt need a nap for a couple hours. Then we can meet you and eveyone else at Hooters or wherever you all decide.

I figured you guys were joking about Hooters but then you posted the address and suddenly I'm not so sure! I sincerely hope you're not visiting a new town only to drive 20 minutes to hang out in a crappy chain restaurant when there's probably three dozen unique bars and restaurants all within walking distance of your hotel. Live a little kiddies!

Depending on where you're staying, there's a Hooters in Council Bluff that might be closer and easier to get to.

We're at the Courtyard in downtown Omaha not far from the venue.
We do plan on stopping at the HOOTERS in Council Bluffs the day after the concert when we leave for Des Moines.
We'll have three days in Des Moines, so the HOOTERS there better have lots of wings. (And thighs). (And breasts).
