Future new home of the Margaritaville Hotel on Hywd Beach

Post by MiamiMax »

Heres a pic of the site which will be the new Margaritaville Hotel at Johnson St. at Hollywood Beach,FL. Right now at this spot small shops and restaurants are operating, but will be gone soon. They break ground there this June. I look forward to its opening!

We've stayed a couple times south of the Hollywood Broadwalk at a little beachfront place called the Manta Ray Inn. Thinking about maybe making a run down there this coming September. Wonder how "tore up" the beach/broadwalk area will be once construction starts?

I think it will only involve the immediate property. They say Jimmy might be there for the ground breaking, but they said they wouldnt say because of the crowd potential. Since hes hands on,Id bet he will be. The buisness on the west side of this proprty is a wings restaurant, and this whole property will stretch from A-1-A to the boardwalk. I think it will be the crown jewel on the beach there. Directly across the street on the southdide of the proprty is a large parking lot with a multi story parking garage.. looks like a well chosen spot! From time to time,Ill post pics on its progress...I expect them to start tearing down these old buildings and clearing the property in April and May. as Jimmy says , Only time will tell!

This is the west end of the property along A-1-A. This building too will be razed.
