Bald Eagle Web Cam (link update 3/2/12)

We've had eagle cams, beach cams, fish cams, drunk cams, honestly...many cams in the past on BN. The eagle cam a year or two ago was pretty cool..I was just emailed this new one and wanted to share the link. It's a good view of the nest from the top. Apparently the eagle is setting on eggs now. Looks like the nest is in Iowa...who knows...maybe Garry's backyard.
There is a 15 second commerical but it's worth the wait. Enjoy.

*** 3/2/12 updated link since there was a problem with the other one

It is in Iowa, and this is actually in *MY* back yard; Decorah is about fifty miles from where I live. I think Garry is from the eastern side of Wisconsin. Not exactly sure just where Chippewa (another Wisconsinite) calls home.
We have eagles — both bald eagles as well as golden eagles — all up and down the river and see then frequently; there are several nesting pairs (although without webcams) within a thirty-mile radius of my place.
And if you ever happen to be passing through the area (specifically, near Wabasha MN on highway 61 between La Crosse and the Twin Cities) make an effort to stop at the National Eagle Center
(link) there. Lots of information, plus the opportunity to see actual live eagles (raptor rescues) up close and personal.

I knew I know that Eagle!
I was following last year's hatching, feeding and first flights on their UStream website:

One also finds some background information about the project etc. there, quite interesting!
Thanks for reminding me!

The Eagles have a nice following here in my office. We also follow D1. That was the one offspring they got a band on last year so they can track him. He still resides in the Decorah area. Updates are plentiful on Facebook. Like the Raptor Resource Project!!!

We have a nesting pair of eagles about 4 miles from my house. I think they have been there 4 or 5 years. The meadow along the creek is posted to give them plenty of room but before the leaves come in you can get a good view and pictures of the nest and sometimes the birds. If you've never seen an eagles nest...they are BIG. I bet the nest near me is at least 4 or maybe 5 feet in diameter. I've got to get over there and get some fresh pictures. I'll post some here if I get some good ones.

I understand they are the size of the VW Bug.
We have a nesting pair in this area....they used to be in a empty lot. But that lot now has a condo

sitting on it, so the eagles moved closer to the lake and can't be seen without a canoe.

Livestream started about one hour ago.
There is no snow visible in the live stream, but at times they play a recorded video with lots of snow in it.
