Oh no!
I was totally entralled with the Monkees when I was young. I was particularly fond of Peter, but Davy was just such a cutie that I was crazy about him too.
I had tons of favorite Monkee songs...Shades of Gray, Sometime in the Morning, I'm a Believer......
((Garry)) I treasure the CD you sent.

Re: Sail On Davy Jones
What a real bummer. A group of us used to sing their songs in my basement when I was growing up. I have all their CD as part of my music collection I also have an autograph pic of the group. So glad I was able to see the three of them touring twice.

I remember seeing him on Ed Sullivan, with the original cast of Oliver, long before we knew him as a "Monkee"

I had a big crush on Mickey, but agree that Davey was a cutie. I think we've had this conversation before, Nancy!nutmeg wrote:Oh no!

Too bad that the "stars" that our kids look up to don't have the same qualities that he did. He didn't do drugs, wasn't a drunk, didn't beat women, wasn't arrested on a daily basis and was an all around good guy. People from all walks of life should take a lesson from him. Rest in peace.
