Oh no!

I was totally entralled with the Monkees when I was young. I was particularly fond of Peter, but Davy was just such a cutie that I was crazy about him too.

I had tons of favorite Monkee songs...Shades of Gray, Sometime in the Morning, I'm a Believer......

((Garry)) I treasure the CD you sent.

What a real bummer. A group of us used to sing their songs in my basement when I was growing up. I have all their CD as part of my music collection I also have an autograph pic of the group. So glad I was able to see the three of them touring twice.

I remember seeing him on Ed Sullivan, with the original cast of Oliver, long before we knew him as a "Monkee"

I had a big crush on Mickey, but agree that Davey was a cutie. I think we've had this conversation before, Nancy!
66 is far too young..... Sail on Davey.

Too bad that the "stars" that our kids look up to don't have the same qualities that he did. He didn't do drugs, wasn't a drunk, didn't beat women, wasn't arrested on a daily basis and was an all around good guy. People from all walks of life should take a lesson from him. Rest in peace.

I'm guessing a lot of folks have probably already read this but in case you haven't, I'd say it's well worth reading.
