Re: Best tour date rumors
Even better would be a Willy Wonka like golden ticket that he hides behind the label on one of his bottles of Margaritaville tequila. Parrot Heads are forced to find the golden ticket that has the entire 2012 tour detailed on it. The fine print reads that the person who finds the ticket must do all the promoting for the tour and if every last ticket ticket doesn't sell then Jimmy doesn't perform. His sh*t tequila increase in sales by 10,000%, he has no overhead on promotion (other than the cost of one golden ticket, of course), and the Parrot Heads (who already dropped way more money then they would like on sh*t tequila) now feel obligated to go that extra mile and drop 150$ + on a ticket + an extra 30$ on extra strength aspirin to kill the pain of all that sh*t tequila that our systems can't process because we are only human and battery acid goes down smoother. The tour name will be "Ya'all Are My B*tches And Ya'all Always Have Been . . . "TommyBahama wrote:or put a cd / dvd out with all the tour info. Jimmy is the "ultimate Pied Piper"! He will lead us to drink his tequilla and Landshark beer, travel to the ends of the earth for his concerts, hotels, casinos, and cafes! While we all complain that we are going broke doing it, we sure are havin' a whole lot of fun!

Re: Best tour date rumors
At a minimum by this time we at least have the new name of the tour.
Last year, Jiffy Lube's date was confirmed on 14 March and tickets were on sale five days later. That's been the case for the last few years with some of the summer shows, normally a week or less after the date(s) for a venue are announced and tickets going on sale. Not a lot of turn around time.

VA BEACH (97,16), BRISTOW (98-12, 15, 17,18, 21), NASHVILLE (99, 17), COLUMBIA, MD (00), GREENSBORO (01-02), RALEIGH (03), ANTIOCH, TN (03), CHULA VISTA (04), PHILADELPHIA (05), LAS VEGAS (06-16, 19), HOUSTON (07), ATLANTIC CITY (07), FRISCO, TX (08).

Re: Best tour date rumors
My club said that we'd likely know what section we'll be in by this weekend (our local convention) and that we should be ready to jump ASAP once the announcement is made. But that was a few weeks ago. I buy my own ticket anyway (ultimate seat snob) but it's good to hear any scuttlebut. It will be interesting to see if there's any word or rumor this weekend.Carolinadreamin' wrote:Not even a hint to the clubs to be prepared............goodtime_mo wrote:At a minimum by this time we at least have the new name of the tour.

Yup, like Linda said, Labor Day weekend at the Beachcomber is sounding like more of a plan. When Chris & Tam get back maybe they can come up with some entertainment to go along with it! I've also kind of lost interest in the concert - I think Jon's idea was a good one - though obviously way over the top - it's good in principle

i don't think They would let you have a concert on the beach ( legally )......plus the beachcomber would want to profit.....sounds great on paper , not sure it could be pulled off. but, again anything is possible.ScarletB wrote:gunthermoose wrote:Maybe it's time to start thinking about alternatives ?

What is so over the top about 20,000 Parrot Heads on a beach down from 100 foot tall sand dune out near shark infested waters 100 miles +from Boston with little to no infrastructure/plumbing/parking/roads to support all of it. I side we would do it at low tide. Geesh.ScarletB wrote:Tommy, that's why I said it was over the top, but the theory behind it is goodTommyBahama wrote:i don't think They would let you have a concert on the beach ( legally )......plus the beachcomber would want to profit.....sounds great on paper , not sure it could be pulled off. but, again anything is possible.ScarletB wrote:gunthermoose wrote:Maybe it's time to start thinking about alternatives ?
