Take me for what I am, a star newly emerging.
I accept the new found man, and I set the twilight reeling.

Robert and his brother Richard were the combined talent behind several great Disney soundtracks in the 1960s — not just "Mary Poppins", but also "Winnie the Pooh", "Bedknobs and Broomsticks", "The Aristocats", and "The Jungle Book". They also did work outside of Disney Studios, including "Snoopy Come Home" and "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang". "Mary Poppins" earned them two Oscars, one for Best Soundtrack and one for Best Song ("Chim Chim Cher-ee"). They've also received a couple of Grammys for their work and of course they have their own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. They most recently teamed up, again for Disney, back in 2000 when they created the music for "The Tigger Movie".
