Tommy,
What is the best way to get front row seats? I have been seeing Jimmy for over 10 years now and I always said I wanted to do a front row one year. This is the year! Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

In order for one broker to get a block of 10-12 seats there must be an inside avenue for them and tracking down conjoining seats from several brokers would be impossible. There has to be a way for certain fans in certain towns to get priority seats whether through the venue or JB's people.
Mind you I'm not bitching. I've been in the front row and everywhere back from it. The last show I was at in SD I was sitting behind the stage and still had a ball.
Well....when you make a statement like:

This is interesting. I spoke with one of the management people last year about priority tickets and she told me "the clubs get no priority tickets through us". When I asked her why the clubs were always in the first few rows she told me they "had their ways of getting tickets" Hmmm.
You are implying that clubs get preference seating and that's not the truth. Like we said in previous posts.....clubs are NOT put in the first few rows.
Maybe someone knows someone at the venue. They pull the tickets for them. Brokers get thousands of seats all the time. Look what happened for the Springsteen concerts. Brokers crashed the TM system and scooped up loads of seats. Tickets are listed in groups of 6 or 8 all the time on broker sites.
We got VIP section at the Gulf Coast concert because a wonderful friend is good friends with Lulu. Very lucky us! And of course Bubba has special seats for special people in different venues. This is his playground. But please don't assume PH clubs have some magic connection to HK Management for special front row seats....it's just not the truth.
A lot are through Golden Circle tickets , they buy the rights to the seats and make there money back plus by selling them....also a lot are corporate sponsors who sell off tickets they don't use to agencies , .....very rarely would front row tickets be pulled on a sale date. Usually it's from sponsor tickets that are returned to comcast and put on sale. That's usually how i get mine.
I have on occasion saw that someone did get a front row seat on ticket sale day. On those rare times, they were usually trying to get just one ticket and God smiled on them. And on occasion.....let's say at Alpine Valley.....a couple of girls walk up to the ticket window hoping that 2 tickets are left and they are able to purchase front row seats.

a lot of it is luck and patience.....like Linda said , getting a single is usually the easy way , even though Greatwoods 2 years ago i did pull 2....GF 1st Buffett concert...nice surprise for her. Box office the day of the show , problem with that , you have to keep checking and leave tailgating. I just keep looking for tickets and throwing them back if it's not what i want. Another way is to buy into the venues Golden Circle , if you do it early enough you may get a front row seat, those are your seat / seats for the year.....that i don't do , not sure how it works as far as , do you have to buy every show. But , buy a couple of good shows and put them on stub hub and you can make your money back on the seat. That is probably the easiest way.

Just saw on ticketmaster that there are still tickets available for Chicago, including lawn seats.. kind of surprised by this? Wondering if they are seeing how these initial dates do before confirming any others?

Whoa, cool your jets.
God bless club members who can get tickets through any connection. My point was I was told something by JB's management while I was asking about getting two good seats that I was willing to pay for for some very deserving people and was told in no uncertain terms "we don't do that for anyone".
I've followed Bubba since 1978 and I'm not a club member. As H L Menken said "I wouldn't belong to a club that would have me as a member." It looks like the clubs are full of wonderful people who do charitable acts and have a great deal of fun together. If you are affiliated with a club take no umbrage at my post it was only using what I've observed over the years and obviously no personal knowledge of club tickets.

Depends on the venue, the day of the week, the city, etc etc etc.... Want front row in Vegas, you gotta find a high roller who has no interest in seeing Jimmy, talk to casino hosts, etc. Thats how i got mine in Vegas, want front row in Orlando, Talk to the local ticket agencies like total tickets and travel. Cleveland , Pittsburgh, Cincy, go with 333seat , Its an art you have to perfect, timing, b-s' ing, networking, and the right amount of money. Some shows like Tampa there were no front row seats sold till the day of the show, outside the ones given away to sponsors. I usually get first or second row to the shows, by talking to anyone and everyone, learning the names of the brokers, the hosts, anyone who can get you a tip. I also dont drop a house
payment or my kids college fund, usually about 100 over face per... There is no secret, I dont know anyone, (outside snake) and i have never met JB , as bad as i want to, ya just gotta sorta hustle. Pix from Tampa

I wish the new tour was starting earlier than May, but I know we will take whatever JB gives us.
LIVID!!!!
I am livid that JB has extended WTF and is hitting the same city (Dallas) as last year with the same effing tour!!! While I appreciate that most tours are the same-ish music, the show is not. I am exceptionally disappointed to know that I will be seeing the same jumbotron show as a year ago. It's a damn good thing I have great BN friends to see me through this and ply me with love and liquor and other substances. (where's my cold meatloaf sandwich!)

He also hit Tampa twice with two very different set-lists so maybe he will do the same for Dallas.

They don't Start rehearsing for a new tour until mid may.....your getting the same stage set up to that point. Maybe some of the songs have changed a bit , and the order has changed the last couple. But , the tour theme is still the same. Looking forward though to seeing / hearing something new and refreshing starting May 30th

I'm sorry someone doesn't understand, it's not that I don't want to go, I have BN friends that I drive 8 hours to see and pay hundreds in fuel for the RV to be there.

For that big, longed for, planned for, anticipated all freaking year trip, I expect to be in the "next" tour because of the gizmos and lights and backdrops etc.

I like the tours, I just want the scenery to change. And as for not going, have you lost your mind?

I don't skip chances to see JB because there's a good chance neither one of us will last much longer on the road

There are 3 shows closer to home that I can possibly hit if he books them. So far, no dates on STL or Nashville. Little Rock was a wild card and last year's show so I skipped. I didn't know it was still WTF until I heard it on RM. I had heard the new tour name here and, since he was hitting the same city, couldn't imagine we wouldn't get the "new" tour. Here's hoping he books STL or Nashville on the new tour!

....I just pony up the big bucks through a broker....I know--not right, but there is no way in hell I would ever snag those front center seats...in the end, I am sure my last words will not be "shouldn't have spent all that money to see Buffett"...It's just the way the game is played, your choice to participate or not.....it is not going to change.

What else. You said a dozen shows to be announced last month with more to come? Havent seen any other cities mentioned since then.
