I have to post this and I do not care if anyone is 'ticked' that I do.
I see all these posts out here about Manning 'gag', bring home a winner for Jack, worries about the concert. I ask that you forget about these things, for now and think about what really matters - waking everyday and seeing your family and friends.
For the many moons that I have been on BN - at one time there was great support. I am thankful for those that have posted back to my first post "asking for prayers and warm thoughts"; instead of passing by for something that is a little less valued than life as we know it.
Last night in the early evening Evan, our club president had passed on. The last happy memory I have of him was at our club Cabin Fever Weekend. It was the second night of our get-away that he was moved by ambulance to a local hospital. It was last night that God has taken him in his hands.
He and his wife Kathy were/are incredible people. Not knowing Jack, they assisted in the support of his race to win in the Tommy Bahama competition; as did the rest of my club.
They are the ones that - if you attended the Pittsburgh show organized the buses to the concert, key players in the Pre-Concert Party. And were ALWAYS there to welcome someone new to the club or for the day.
They are what we know Parrot-Heads to be. Kathy is flying solo now without her Captain, the fantastic duo is no longer hand in hand.
May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
May the rains fall soft upon your fields,
And, until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.
