Well hoping this posts where I want it to. Having issues posting here for awhile now. Yes.....it is Barefoot Gypsy..... And I know some are not happy being back at TP.... I am thrilled to be back on the lawn!! The lawn people have always been where the craziest things happen IMHO. Bummed that there is less time to tailgate. Thrilled and looking forward to seeing everyone. Will be singing a song or two with Matt and the lounge crew. It has been one hell of a year. I am looking forward to my one day vacation. Yup, still have the list from last year...and my number is still the same too.

We cancelled our plans for staying at the Holiday Inn...so we will be driving down (passing Toyota Park on the way...grrrr). Probably gonna ease into the day a little..thinking we will be at Tinley by about 4:30-5. I'll call/txt when we get there...and if we dont catch up before...just look to your right when you get to your seat LOL.

If you are at Odyssey Country Club on the East side of the venue you will typically be pushed into the smaller lot that borders Ridgeland and usually the cops will have N and S roads blocked so that you can't proceed any further than the parking lot entrance (unless you have VIP parking...then they will let you pass). If you are at Odyssey Fun World on the West side, then you will be sent to the main, larger lot on the East side of the venue. That's the way I've normally seen it set up..but depending on the conditions (or whims of the cops) they might change the routes. I've been to Tinley when they have completely closed S Rd and pushed everyone to N and also when they have done the exact opposite.

Spark--there is a chance I too will be showing up later, depending on a few things, so you might also check with others from last year if you have those numbers. And I too cancelled my hotel reservation. And yes, I know exactly where you are sitting

We are bringing a camper, we are planning on heading to the venue at 1:00 line up with the cars, back up the traffic so they have to open the gates I want to be sure I am on the cell phone list... 630.606.5811 I need a new BN meet up picture!

Yes, Kate, I'm planning on meeting you at Margaritaville on Saturday morning. Tell the AmTrak folks it's REALLY critical that your train gets in on time. I know the words "AmTrak" and "on time" are oxymorons, but they need to be on time. Or else they won't be. I may have to park my car at Tinley Park to be able to meet you at Navy Pier, knowing that area as I do. But I'm definately excited about seeing you again. (You DID remember to renew your passport, right)?

If you guys want, we can all carpool or go together. We are staying about 10 minutes away from the venue.

The entire reason we are coming to Chicago is to see you guys, so we do expect to hook up and do something before the show on Saturday. I know with the high temps and lack of shade it will be a bit difficult, but starting late is not a problem for us.

Just let me know what is going on and if we need to bring anything.

I'll go out to Costco in the morning before setting out... Let me know if there's anything I can bring... I'll also bring my usual two chairs (but I might pick up two more) and my canopy...

Is anyone staying at the LaQuinta near the venue??? Thats where we are staying. Hoping to meet up with some of you!

Now that i think of it, does anyone want to meet up there before the show and go together? I have absolutley nothing to bring to the table... I'm backpacking from the Pitt show. Just my company

LOL me too! I am taking said Mr. Duckett from Pitt to Chicago (he gets to ride the Amtrak) - He's an inflatable duck that goes tailgating from show to show and has his travels documented. Ill find the link and send you a message along with my phone number so i can pass im along to you in the lot in Chicago ( I won't have a car so ill need to find you before the show starts) FUN!

Is anyone going to see jake on Sunday at ravinia.... He's playing with an orchestra...so I'm not sure if he's a doing a couple of doing a couple of selections or if he's doing a full show

We are from Toledo, but are leaving from Jackson, Michigan Friday morning. If you are in that area or whatever, you can caravan with us on the way there. Feel free to contact me or anyone else to find out whats going on if anything before the show.

On a side note, we love coming to Chicago for the show because hanging out with people from the board is one of the best parts of the day. Other wise, we would just go to the Cincy or Detroit shows and hang out with all the tossers and wankers.

Dan and Ellen, please let us know what we need to bring if we are all going to get together.

Phriends of the good Doctor will be roadtrippin' into Chi-Town for the show. They're staying downtown Friday night on the Miracle Mile, out by T.P. Saturday night. Not sure but they may pop in at Navy Pier for some Boat Drunks action Friday night.
