If anyone's staying at or visiting the Tinley Park Holiday Inn and you see me, say hey! Still not sure what time we'll leave there for the venue - sometime mid afternoon. In the lot, I'll have my red minivan, a rainbow beach umbrella, and my friend bought a "huge Tiki mylar balloon" that will be flying above.

Gotta finish packing, do my nails, and get ready for our morning departure!

I just received an email from LiveNation with the subjects "Advisory: Jimmy Buffett at First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre". But the interesting part for me is the last paragraph - "Please note, no bottles will be allowed in reserved seating due to the request of the performer. All bottles will be poured into cups upon entering the seating area. Please note, bottles still must be factory sealed when entering the gates."

Does this mean I can take a beer into the concert that is still sealed? Or do they just mean water? Thoughts?

That has always been the policy with Jimmy at Tinley Park. No outside bottles allowed in the venue, and any drink purchased will be put into a cup...probably with no lid on it.

Enjoy the show all, we are REALLY close to driving to Chicago early morning to catch up with some old friends, and enjoy the company of the Chicago crew....we were in Pittsburgh Thursday night, and the club and the pholks REALLY made us feel at home. Garry, hope you remember Lori and I from Toyota (tickets still appreciated) if the cell # is still good, we will call you to see where you are to say hello.......

All venues do that.....broken glass issue if in glass .....and then there is the occational idiot who will throw at on stage.....some places even do it with bottled water, pouring it into a cup.....never heard of a venue letting you bring your own beer in.
