Hey all!! This will be our fourth time at Alpine, but first time being there all day on Friday before the concert. Can anybody recommend a good, casual place for lunch with a nice water view of Lake Geneva?

Only THIRTEEN more days!!

Popeye's http://www.popeyeslkg.com/
No, not the chicken joint! Great food with beautiful views of Geneva Lake depending where you're seated. Expect a much longer wait for window or outside seating (Not sure if alcohol is permitted outside or not?) Order the broccoli soup!

Scuttlebutts http://www.scuttlebuttsrestaurant.com/
Smaller and more intimate atmosphere than Popeye's. Enjoy great views of the lake from any table. Limited outdoor seating is also available, but alcohol is not allowed outside. Service is sometimes a tad slow, but the food is usually quite good and reasonably priced. You really can't go wrong ordering any one of their delicious burgers!

Gino's East of Lake Geneva http://www.ginoseastlakegeneva.com/
If you like pizza, you'll love Gino's Chicago-style deep dish pizza! For really great views of the lake request to be seated in the outdoor seating area. Gino's is located inside Harbor Shores Hotel.

Harborside Cafe
They should just hang a sign in the window that reads "Aweful Service! Average Food!" The service here truely is the worst I've ever experienced. The food is average (at best) and way overpriced. Don't waste your time or money here - you've been warned!

Lake Geneva Cruise Line http://www.cruiselakegeneva.com/index.php
Alright I know this isn't a resturant, but if you want the best views of Geneva Lake you have to get out on the water! The Luncheon Tour aboard the Grand Belle of Geneva departs the Riviera Docks at 11am. Menu changes daily. This may be your most expensive option, but also your most memorable. Several other interesting and scenic (non-meal) cruises are also available. I highly recommend looking into one of these!

I hope this helps? Have a great time! :D

AND!!!! I just found out that if you go to Live Nation for tickets, they have an interactive "pick your seat"... You can see which seats are still available. There are still several...and the last few rows on the sides are the same price as lawn tickets....

Went shopping for tailgate items today, it is really getting close now!!! Very excited for our 55th show. Small scale tailgating this year, we want to be able to mingle through the lots. Definitely will set up our upside-down Margarita shot chair for awhile though!! 9 sleeps and a wake-up, woo hoo!

Started in the early 90's, became an addiction by mid-90's where we would go to at least 3 shows every year, sometimes 5 or 6 shows. Lately we have cut back, just Alpine and Illinois this year. Bring it on!!!

Don't be scared of the shot chair :pirate:

Weather Channel says 84 and Partly Cloudy Saturday with 10% chance of rain. I'll take them over a local jobber any day of the week.
