Actually, I'd go the other direction and encourage people not to pay for VIP parking. We had VIP last year and they would not open the lot (except to the local ParrotHead Club) until 4:00pm. We parked at the only lot open and had a heck of a tailgate hours prior to the opening of the lot. ($25 donated to Verizon) VIP does traditionally empty a little quicker, but who's in the hurry to leave the parking lot anywaysunseeker wrote:Consider this your warning. PAY FOR VIP parking. The regular lots were a NIGHTMARE getting out of last year. Cars going all directions. I tried to go one way out to the main road and encounteres orange barrels and tape that had not been there before I went into the show. There was a line of cars behind me. We were all told to BACK up and go the other direction. Meanwhile cars were going everywhere....
Also - there were NO portapotties in the lot I was in. 0. Nada.

Also, we'll be bringing our own portapotty this year. It's the only way to go (literally)
We parked in the lot across the street farthest away from Hwy. 29. We were able to back up to the woods (with the tents behind the vehicles) and had plenty of room to spread out. We'll be in the same lot this year (we'd done VIP at the 3 previous shows)dnw wrote:Tarheel Tail-Gator wrote:Actually, I'd go the other direction and encourage people not to pay for VIP parking. Yes, we had VIP parking and the gates did open at 4:00, but by the time the long line of cars got into the parking lot, it was after 4:30 for us. Did you park in the lot across the street from the venue?
