about the grill issue, I've used charcoal the last two years.

2 years ago I had no issues with security about it.
Last year, the cops came over and told me it was technically not allowed, but told me to keep a close eye on it and they'd be okay. I also showed them a whole cooler of water I had with me and told them I'd use it if I had to.

I will say the cops/security/Woodlands employees have been some of the best I've seen anywhere. Very laid back. I assume they love working the tailgate just as much as we love attending it.

(edit: also just remembered that we were in a severe drought last year. Thinking that may have played into charcoal being "frowned upon")

Got my fingers crossed!

I'm bringing jellow shots and hopefully BR's rasberry pudding shots. They are to die for.

corona,

there are tons of great restaurants in the Woodlands. I'm sure others can chime in as well, but off the top of my head, these would be some of my go-to's if you are coming from out of town:

Chuys - Tex-Mex. Make sure and ask for the creamy jalepeno dip when they bring your chips out. It's addicting. It sounds odd, but I normally order a steak burrito w/ a fried egg on top (....and a house margarita on the rocks :D )
(listed as the Shenandoah location on their website)

Black Walnut Cafe - one of the best brunches around.

Pappadeaux - Great seafood. I'm addicted to their Oyster Duo appetizer.

Berryhill Baja Grill - Tex-Mex tacos and tamales. Very casual. They've been awarded 'Best Fish Tacos in Houston' several times.

Totally agree with Black Walnut Cafe!

The Goose's Acre Bistro and Irish Pub - Friday's Special: Half Priced Shepherd's Pie. Very yumm...and combined with a Guinness...perfect! :D

Los Cucos Mexican Cafe - Yummy Fish Tacos here too! Sunday's they have an awesome breakfast brunch from 9:30a-12:30p. Friday's Happy Hour from 3p-6p includes Golden Margaritas for $3.50!

Like spadilly said ... tons of good places in the area.
