Sorry Tom but Holmes is not the real dealSaltwaterTom wrote:Wallyworld and HEB both carry Holmes brand smoked boudin; it;'s delicious!!!!!!!
Granted, there are a plethora of real deals from east of the Sabine, but for us fat Texas boys that Cajun French is not our primary language, something smoked by Germans west of Houston does the trick, at least after a six pack or so....clearlakeparrot wrote:Sorry Tom but Holmes is not the real dealSaltwaterTom wrote:Wallyworld and HEB both carry Holmes brand smoked boudin; it;'s delicious!!!!!!!http://www.abescajunmarket.com/ same as the Abe's in Lake Charles
Do you know where they will be?SaltwaterTom wrote:The Houston PHC said that they would be there, I believe they talked about it at the Mudbug Ball.
Last year, they were in one of the paid for parking lots.Bucarader wrote:Do you know where they will be?SaltwaterTom wrote:The Houston PHC said that they would be there, I believe they talked about it at the Mudbug Ball.
The stage is in the paid tailgate lot. You dont have to pay to walk through or attend just to park a vehicle. The spots are divided by PHC. Houston being front center and Glaveston Bay just off to the right and I think 5 O'clock Flock just off to the left. The spots were purchased through the PHC for $50. I think some others were sold but they are but in the back lot. Jerry plays from 1 to 5Bucarader wrote:Ragtop: You may have a hard time finding Texas oysters this time of year. Our season closes in April. Also, we had severe red tide issues this year and most of our bays did not even open until late February.
Springparrot: Thay sounds like a fun time. Do they generally charge or take "donations" for their tailgate? I think we'd like to see Hanna's Reef that afternoon.
AHHHH thanks.. our fresh oysters come from Washington and Prince Edward Island.. almost year around..Bucarader wrote:Ragtop: You may have a hard time finding Texas oysters this time of year.
