Wow...gives a whole new meaning to "taste the rainbow."

In case anyone is wondering here is the recipe:

JellO-Shots....... Cut an Orange (or lemon or lime) in HALF and gut it. Mix the jello shot (1 cup hot water, box jello, 1 cup various liquors), stir till disolved, then add the jello mix to the half shell and refrig for 3 hours or more. Once solid, slice and serve!

Very cool and, I imagine, a lot easier to eat than the ones in the plastic cups AND more eco friendly as the "holder" is bio degradable!

Yes they are! If the school system can classify jello as a food, so do I.

Good thing you included instructions. I would've been trying to figure out
how to fill the individual slices with jello.

To make these shot a little more interesting, Jello brand Jello has Margarita, Pina Collada and Strawberry Daiquiri flavors.

Not a big jello fan, alcohol or not but these do look cool

They have fancy names but they are still
LIME
Pineapple
Strawberry
flavors

Same flavors, different names

Jello shots are great.

However they will get you hammered. Its hard to gauge how much alcohol you have taken in since you can down 20 of these things and nothing happens. Then 20 minutes later you're on the floor puking.

Very good point, Pam! Those and gummy bears...the environmentally friendly ways to get trashed!

I just might have to try those!

Sweet idea! Hubby and I always bring Jello shots to Jones Beach. We wander the parking lot, giving them out and making friends.

Last year we used the plastic shot cups because they had lids and were easy to stack in the cooler, but people didn't like them. We'll definitely use the citrus idea this year!
