Who's going to Indianapolis 7/31/12

We are planning on coming from St. Louis for the Indy show this year. Two questions:
1) What are the tailgating "rules" for this venue and when do the gates normally open?
2) Any hotels close to the venue?

Welcome to Indianapolis!
Indianapolis is pretty laid back when it comes to tailgating. Grills must be gas and not charcoal. Gates usually open at 1:00 but we have been able to get in and set up as early as noon. In years past we were allowed kiddie pools and fun stuff like that but last year they wouldnt let us fill them up with water or use our slip and slide.
There are several hotels off I-69 at the exit for the Klipsh (or as we dearly call it Deercreek), just use cheaptickets and put in Noblesville, IN. Many people camp at Sleepy Bear Campground,

Thanks for the info. The tailgate sounds a lot like what is allowed in St. Louis...except our gates usually don't open until between 2 and 3.

This was by far the easiest time I have had getting tickets. And there are still tickets out there for the lawn!?! The scalpers must have not snagged them all up this year...

Well, I will be at this concert with my friend who is a Buffett Virgin. We are staying at his place not too far from the venue. Anyone else going to this show?
Also, I need two lawn tickets...anyone have some extra?

Woot.. tomorrow is the big day!! Who is ready? Our watermelon is spiked, jello shots are in the fridge and grill is being tuned up. See everyone around noonish tomorrow...

I'll be there around 3:30, black VW Beetle in VIP lot, blue easy up. Cooking veggie burgers, shrimps, scallops, and consuming Mojitos. Hope to see you there!
