His popularity spanned generations and I'd guess that one would be hard-pressed finding someone who doesn't know who Dick Clark was. Sail on, Dick. You touched many lives.

I lived outside Philly back in the late 50's, really wanted to get on American Bandstand but had to settle for watching it after school. Sail on Mr Clark.

Sail On Dick...thanks for entertaining us all these years.

An interesting thought for me is that Dick was the same age as my dad and I could have never thought of my dad as "America's Oldest Teenager". You would have had to known my dad to really see the humor in that. :lol:
