No sh*t! I was at the first Boardwalk show years back. Drove down with Tommy and few other New England Parrotheads. Great time. We must've met up at some point because we did the exact same thing. Got hammered down at Maloneys (or some dive bar which had like 3$ rum and cokes and shots for $2.50) and then walked down to the some beach bar that was f'n gorgeous but wicked expensive.

We met up with Uncle Jim on the Boardwalk before the show and hung around for awhile. And then sometime after I believe I had my first encounter with LIPH but I was really f*cked up at the point so I was probably really charming and likeable. Good times. Good times.
the hit and run is as good as any religion around this time of year . . .

the cheapest drinks and food are at the Pik-a-lil-pub, across the street from the Irish Pub. Really cool bartenders, open 24 hours. Cheapest drink prices on the Boardwalk. Just don't look the hookers in the eye!

Yep remembered meeting u guys. You signed my tiki bar. Great time. Thank god for that bar. I would have been broke after an hour at the beach bar

Ducktown is always good and prices are decent. Maloney's is a bit of a walk, but the prices are also good but you are stuck inside. Ducktown you can hang outside and only have to walk one block. There is a lot across the street from Ducktown that a few years ago I saw a few people with small grills and were tailgating. At the very least you can store some booze in your car and save yourself some money by sneaking over for a drink from time to time. The Trump Plaza beach bar after the show is awesome.

What are they going to do with this show?? If you look on Ticketmaster the venue is barely half sold!! I'd love to go, but think the show is WAY overpriced - and it looks like I'm not the only one. (Particularly with the Jones Beach and Camden shows so close by...)

I wonder if they'll end up cutting the prices...

Bet most of what is "sold" is with the greedy brokers........and they're trying to sell tix for even more than the inflated "face value".

I wanted to see this show, but with tickets at $250 each, a room at Caesar's around $300, until I add in gas and food I'd been spending around $1,000. Sorry Jimmy, but I'm putting that money towards my 2013 Key West trip. It's your own fault, buddy...... :pirate:

We opted to go to Atlantic City because Camden was such a disaster last year, and Jones Beach while being our favorite venue, didn't fit into our work/vacation schedules.

We have decided to go to this show since we missed the last two and I just have a question for anyone who has gone before.

We get to AC a couple of times a year and you rarely see people with drinks on the boardwalk or beach. Does anyone know how strict they are if we took a cooler on the beach with some beer and relaxed a bit before hitting the bars? We definitely want to get to the bars but I thought it would be great to just hang out on the beach for awhile a have a few.

Mike and I had a cooler with beer on the beach last time (2009? 2010? -- it was Summerzcool tour) we poured our beers into red cups and no one bothered us. We did not walk around on the boardwalk with them, though. Fins up really soon! Can't wait -- was marathoning JB on my iPod while sitting on beach yesterday!

Happy Jimmy Week, Jersey! We will be celebrating thirty-one years of wedded hysteria, I mean deliriousness, I mean bliss ... will be hitting up the Lobster House in Cape May, get our fill of rock crab claws and crab cakes, then up to AC for a little JB! So excited!

Trop Rock entertainment:
Friday, Jimmy & the Parrots@The Golden Nugget-on the Deck 8pm-12am. Age limit 21+. Huron and Brigantine Boulevard.

Saturday, ParrotBeach- Pre-Buffett Show @Bally's outside at Sammy's Beach Bar 2:00 start time--Two shows.

Also Saturday, Ducktown Tavern(www.ducktowntavernacnj.com) Pre-Jimmy Buffett Party-Noon until 8pm.

We haven't bought tickets yet, either. Wasn't willing to pay the ridiculous prices.
We might look for someone selling them cheap, otherwise we"ll probably just hang out with everyone in the same "boat" as us & continue to party!

Can't wait! Hope to see lots of you there! :)

Scott Kirby will be just down the Parkway in Somers Point. He'll be performing on the "beach" on August 3, at 7:00 pm (7-9:30) Bay & Higbee Avenues, Somers Point, NJ.

Trying desperately to get to AC. Is anyone heading down on a bus from Fairfield County, CT on Sat morning? My friend got into a car accident, and is thankfully OK, but can't go to AC. Looking for bus transportation down and back the same day, since the room was in her name and isn't transferable.
