OK, missed JB in concert last year for the 1st time in years. Had tix for the infamous "no tailgating" show at Bristow. Luckily I got my money back when a hurricane postponed the Saturday show to a Thursday.....

This year I thought about doing Bristow again on Labor Day.......no, the "new" tailgating rules are still stupid!

Then, he announced Atlantic City, but floor tickets are $250 each, room at Caesar's $350, with food & gas it's easily a $1,000 weekend. No.......

Now, I actually seem OK that maybe I'll miss JB in concert for a 2nd consecutive year..........

And rumors of a "new" CD/DVD from Las Vegas.......I don't find myself getting psyched for its release either!

Should I be worried??????

Personally...have a drink, you will come to your senses and you will get tickets to a show.

For various reasons we've only seen him twice since 2004. Once in St. Louis 2010, once finally in Denver in 2011. We survived, too.

You may want to think about Charlotte and/or Atlanta. Those commutes would be fairly easy for you, right?
Of course, you're more than welcome to join us in Chicago. (And Apline, if THAT'S going to happen).

Jiffy Lube/Nissan/Bristow, or whatever they call it these days, would be the LAST place I'd want to go for a concert right now.

Jones Beach is a wonderful venue that will have you wanting to come back every time!!!!!

I think it ebbs and flows.....I haven't been listening to Buffett much at all lately.
Looking at Vegas dates, but will admit that it's not with the same enthusiasm that I have in the past.
Lots of life changes, priorities change/shift.....the one thing that doesn't change is how much
I love the people that being a parrothead have brought into my life.....it's all good.

I haven't seen Buffett in concert since around '96 or so and I'm quite alright with that.

wPs - I'm almost more excited at the thought of the rest of the GW weekend than the concert itself. I saw Peter 2 weeks ago and I was just as excited about that as any JB concert. While I'm sure I'll have a great time I"m not counting the days like I used to. And finally, it IS all about the people I've met, priceless.

I'd be really worried, Ed. Old age is setting in. You're just one step away from complaining about the music being too loud, and yelling at the neighbor kids to "GET OFF MY LAWN"!! You need to get out and have some fun with some fellow parrotheads! I hear Cheddars is a good place to hang out.
