Not many things are sadder than when a person feels as if suicide is their only option.
Prayers 7 peace to the family of this outstanding young man.

R.I.P., Mr. Seau. I'm very sorry we all failed you.
Thank you for the memories and may you find eternal peace as you reach the end of your journey.

Just one question: how did "we" fail him? I don't ask from the point of view that he was a close personal friend, I don't think any of us can make that statement. I ask because this was a guy who evidently kept a lot of secrets deep inside. I am sorry he decided this was the only way out, but if anyone failed him, it was his doctors, his family, and his friends. And he bears some responsibility himself because frankly, the whole, "I am gonna play, even if I am missing a leg because to do less is to show weakness in front of my teammates" mentality didn't help either.

I am sorry his family had to go thru this, and I am sorry he decided to do this, but please don't include me in the "we" of which you speak.
