Missed the 1 hour concert. There was a wreck on I-10 and we sat there for over 1 1/2 hour...then when we got to the entrance drive to the casino we sat in that line for 45 minutes. We got there as Jimmy & the band members where leaving. Woo Wee, this place is SMALL. There is only one restaurant "Margaritaville" that is the same set up as the one in Vegas...the girl slides down the volcano...then there is a small area for sandwiches "Feeding Fenzy".....one bar in back that you can walk up to pay for drinks...the area that Matt was in is very small (if they have a big name in this area they are going to have to move all those tables and chairs). We looked in this room way before Matt was to play and there was the guy standing there asking one of the employee's "when will Jimmy be playing tonight?". They have trained the employee's very well...he told this guy..."Oh, Jimmy will not be playing tonight he is walking around the casino"....that guy took off looking for Jimmy....bwahahaha!!!!
The VIP 5-8pm....you had the concert outside on the beach area and had food...then you could go gamble....glad we found us a machine because at 8pm they let the folks that were waiting come in...then you could not move in the place at all. We left around 11pm and they had to stop people coming in...people were waiting in line....then it took us another 30 minutes to get out of there....TRAFFIC was backed up all the way to Hwy 90.
Thanks for the recap, MotherHen. I thought I heard you yell one time during the concert. Sorry you missed the concert, but there is always another time.
Wow sorry it was so wild there!
Sounds like we will make it early morning to check it out!
Thanks for the update!
