For those of you that may not know, my hometown was the basis for Mayberry (Andy Griffith grew up there). Each year, they hold a Mayberry Days festival. George "Goober" Lindsey was one of the remaining actors who would come to the town each year to greet fans of the show. He as a truly nice person and had eaten in my mom's restaurant. So sad....Sail on Goober
