At the risk of upsetting Auntie, I would like to point out that if the Mr Lehmann in question has been at the Coconut Telegraph "since the beginning" then I would imagine he is the Editor or similar.
It is not unusual for Editors to not use a byline.
I gather it goes back to the days when newspaper men were real newspaper men (and sheep were nervous).
The idea was that Editors and Editors-in-Chief decided whose copy got run, and if they ran their own copy with their byline it looked bad.

No worries, Rabbitz. I just thought it was odd, and in my admittedly limited experience in journalism, it seemed "incorrect." (But you have to admit the double entendres with with guys last name were pretty funny!

if anyone,
editor or otherwise,
writes an article
from a first person perspective ....
... they need to identify themselves
either in the article itself
or via a byline.

Andrew Talbert has a photo of Marty Lehmann:
Marty Lehmann tossing beads from the rooftop. I call him Mr. Coconut Telegraph. He had just jumped down out of the window of the Margaritaville offices to toss beads to the crowd. Are we having fun yet?
