Thanks, I hadn't read that article before, just this one from USA Today. Yeah, it's stuff that predates A White Sportcoat and A Pink Crustacean which would put it in the Down To Earth/High Cumberland Jubilee era. I'm admittedly not quite as fond of those records as am what followed but I'd still be very interested in hearing Buried Treasure.

I LOVE the old stuff !!! "Buried Treasure" sounds so exciting ! I hope it becomes a reality.

Given that the Las Vegas album came out back in June I don't think the new studio album will be released until sometime in November-December. Jimmy still has six shows to perform in the next few weeks including the two in Australia with Mac. There are no other concerts scheduled for after the second Vegas show so I would imagine Jimmy plans on going into the studio to finish what ever needs to be done on the new studio album.
Rumor has it that Jimmy is planning a big tour for 2013 which leads me to believe it will be in support of the new album.

Who cares man he's still touring. He will always play the "big 8". Be thankful hes still touring. Personally, (and you don't have to share my opinion) but I love most of the Mville products and I'm proud as a parrothead that jimmy has all these products. I'm an outdoor/tailgate kind of guy and if I can show off my parrothead pride and rock a Mville grille instead of a Coleman that's awesome. Jimmy for president we all said but I guess we didn't mean it. Jimmy is about the music, lifestyle, friendships, and memories i wouldn't change for $400 million in net worth. But I've been a parrothead for a very long time and i will stand with my captain sailing this ship. (for those

I have some Margaritaville products (t-shirts) myself but I'm more interested in the music than his product line or his empire of restaurants, casinos, stores and condos. In fact, I'm not faulting him for any of that, I'd just rather see more emphasis on what drew me to Buffett to start with, which was the music. Today it seems to be secondary and at best, an afterthought.

The reason Jimmy is playing the two upcoming acoustic shows in Australia is to finalize the arrangements for the shows there in 2013. You might be right about consecutive months then again who knows.

I cringe at the thought of shelling out the money he commands for seats these days. If it was a drastic change from the norm, like an all acoustic show, I'd pay a premium. For that, I'm jealous of the Australia crowd.

The two upcoming shows in Australia are acoustic shows being performed by Jimmy and Mac MacAnally only! I am sure Mr. Utley will be on the new album as he been on all of Jimmy's albums.
