This show is definitely a keeper. Great songs, great audio quality... I road tested the show earlier today and I've been streaming it tonight at w*rk. I have a feeling this is gonna be a really cool tour this year!

Sunlover: What a great way to get primed up for Houston. I think we are in for a real treat!

Question, last year you used a "higher bit rate on some shows, and they sounded awesome. Are you going to do that again this year? They were the most "listenable" shows we have.

Again, thanks for all you do!

Fins up!

I am so SORRY!! I looked back at some of the earlier files and realized I rendered them at 192 bit rate instead of 256. (guess this year was more stressful than I realized; another story...) My capture process is still the same however. I capture the uncompressed show from a DVR sent via optical audio to my PC. The file is edited and rendered with Adobe Audition on a dedicated data SSD.

As a general question to the phlock, has anyone noticed any problems with the audio quality of the last dozen or so shows? Keep in mind that the audio from each venue can be very different. Also, remember that the Jazz Fest show was an internet video stream, so the sound from that was not as good as a regular show. When I capture any audio, I set the record level to a good mid point so there is no distortion. It is better to normalize the audio up than to have the distorted sound that is impossible to fix.

I still have the original DVR captures, so I can re-edit the lower bit rate shows. I actually started doing that with some of the older shows as an ongoing project...

256 is awesome! I can definitely tell the difference.

And your effort of going back and "upgrading" the earlier shows as they are re-broadcasted is really, REALLY, appreciated!
