A newspaper article passed along by kwd: "That busy Buffett name"
Tim Gannon, who spends much of his time at his ranch in Wellington, has nevertheless been involved lately in some heady discussions at Outback's headquarters in Tampa with another part-time Palm Beach County resident.
Outback is developing Jimmy Buffett's new Cheeseburger in Paradise restaurant venture. Various events delayed the expected 2001 launch, which now is anticipated to occur this year in Cincinnati. Why Cincy? If an island-themed burger joint can make it there, it can make it anywhere.
Buffett, of course, is not playing at MARS this spring. He's going indoors Feb. 16 at National Car Rental Center in Sunrise, but on April 3 he'll sneak out again for one very special show with his Coral Reefer Band, on the beach at The Breakers Beach Club. A benefit for the Academy of the Palm Beaches capital campaign, tickets for cocktails, dinner and show are $1,000, but almost half of the 500 seats already are sold. Call 832-8815.

This is great news! We now have a Cincinnati parrot head club (Cincy PHC) that meets the 3rd Tuesday of every month and we are desperate for a tropical bar to have our meetings at.
Thank you Jimmy!
If anyone is interested in coming out and meeting our club members at our monthly meeting February 19th send me a message and I will give you details.
There is a cheeseburger god!
